Our trip today was amazing! We enjoyed our bus rides, on the way back the children asked if we could sit upstairs and some of us had a little nap! On our trip we saw lions, enjoyed a look round the museum and looked at stories in the library, we had a lovely picnic and then at the theatre we had so much fun pretending to be toys to help the cheeky elf, we learnt about new instruments and enjoyed our ice lollies at the end!
Today’s group were all amazing and we had so many wonderful comments about their fantastic behaviour and manners throughout the day!

It’s the end of another fun filled week. This morning we all went on a walk, some children went down water lane, investigating what was growing in the fields, fishing in the stream and searching for mini beasts. Another group went to the garden centre to buy some bubbles and search for different plants and colours. They then went to the field to catch bubbles and enjoy a picnic. The pre school children went on an adventure, they played hide and seek at the field, remembering to close their eyes as they counted to 20 while their friend hid. They went to the farm, investigating the sunflowers, talking about their height, colour and why bees liked to go on the flower. As they went for their picnic they had to climb over the stile, remembering to be careful and wait for their friends. At the field they built a den, using some fantastic team work and ensuring all their friends ideas were included. They then enjoyed a lovely picnic.
This afternoon the children enjoyed water play in the garden. They had fun in the paddling pools and under the sprinkler.
Have a lovely weekend everyone and see you next week for more fun and adventures!

What a fun week we have had so far, we have used our creative and imagination skills to make some fantastic collages. We have designed our own sensory tray, thinking about what each item could represent. In the garden we have raced boats down the drainpipe, discovering what we could do to make ours go faster. When out on our travels we have visited the garden centre with a shopping list of things we would need to make our boats and discovered where these could be found in the shop. On Tuesday we visited the duck pond, identifying different ducks and making sure we fed each one, we went to the farmers field to see what crops were being grown, we used our phonics knowledge to decode the signs and looked for mini beasts in the hedges. We also collected natural resources to make creatures in the woods and enjoyed stories at the library.

This morning was our graduation party, the children danced, played games, had party food and most importantly of all had lots and lots of fun.

While we know the children are ready for reception class it’s like loosing a big part of the nursery family. We have spent 4 yrs watching and helping the children grow and develop. We have seen their personalities grow and know each child’s individual character. We will miss the smiles and funny comments from them all but we know they will excel at school.

A huge thank you to the families who have trusted us with the care and development of their children. We don’t underestimate what a hard decision it is picking the childcare and education setting for your child and we are really glad you picked us.
