*Sickness bug/ Summer Fayre* 🦠

We continue to have our sickness bug going around nursery. We are doing everything we can to limit the spread of this bug.
Please can we advise all parents to take extra precautions and please only attend the summer Fayre if you are out of the 48 hour window from their or your last bout.

Currently our internet is down which means our emails and our phone line is currently not working . We are working hard to rectify this and get back to you all in due course.

Parking for the summer Fayre: all parents and staff will need to park in the fields at the bottom of the nursery which is adjacent to the road . There will be parking Marshalls to guide you all where to park. We can not allow families to work in the nursery car park due to the ice cream van visiting us and making space for the band and their equipment.

If your child/ family have been off this week due to the sickness bug, please ensure you adapt the 48 hour rule in regards to your attendance to the summer Fayre so we can continue to limit the spread of this bug.

Important Notice to Our Baby Barn Families 💚

We wanted to make all of our families aware that there is currently a sickness bug going around in our Baby Barn room.

Please be assured that we are doing everything we can to help eliminate the spread. Our team is carrying out enhanced cleaning and disinfecting throughout the day, encouraging good hand hygiene, and following all of our infection control procedures to keep everyone as safe as possible.

We kindly ask all parents and carers to support us by following our 48-hour sickness policy. If your child has experienced sickness or diarrhoea, they must remain at home for 48 hours after their last episode before returning to nursery. This is one of the most effective ways to prevent the bug from spreading further.

Thank you for your understanding, support, and cooperation. By working together, we can help keep our children, families, and staff healthy. 💚

With temperatures soaring across the UK, it’s important to remember that not all children recognise when their bodies are becoming too hot.

Children with interoceptive differences may not notice feelings of thirst, overheating, or discomfort. They might keep running, playing, or wearing extra layers long after their body is telling them to cool down.

Regular drink reminders, access to shade, cooling breaks, and water-rich foods such as watermelon, melon, oranges, grapes, and strawberries can make a real difference during periods of extreme heat.
