What we do

Our remit is to provide support where appropriate, where your difficulty creates
a barrier to your learning. Any information students give us will be treated sensitively and will be used with their consent and for their benefit. To ensure you receive any identified support, it
may be helpful if your tutors are aware of your
support requirements. This will only be done with your permiss

ion. Specific study support can
include:

* Regular support meetings
* Appropriate specific study strategies
* Liaising with tutors (to negotiate extensions,
for example)
* One to one support sessions with a member
of staff
* Proof reading
* Providing a reader/scribe
* Alternative assessment arrangements
* Identifying appropriate assistive technology
* Training in the use of assistive technology
* Equipment on loan

Student Support Team

A wide variety of people come to college,
some may benefit from study support
during their time here for a specific reason. This support might be needed in the short
or long term for a variety of reasons such as
an injury, a mental health issue, a specific
learning difficulty (such as dyslexia), a
sensory impairment or medical condition.
