Here's a great picture of some of the My Wee Highland Hame team (with a very proud teacher) at the Highland Council's Quality Awards. They didn't come away with a prize this time - but there probably isn't enough room in the Farr High School trophy cabinet..

Unfortunately the Young Enterprise project only runs for a school year, in our case from August 2013 to July 2014. Therefore the school involvement has now formally ended, particularly now that the teacher that facilitated the manufacturing of products has now retired. Last Monday, four team members made their way to Inverness for one last presentation! We were very honoured to be nominated for a Highland Council Quality Award and even more honoured to be fast tracked to the top three business in the category "Working Together for the Community". We pitched our presentation and answered he challenging questions from the judges and we feel happy about our chances. This Wednesday. He four team members will go back to Inverness for the ceremony and a dinner. We will then find out the all important question - if we won!

We have been nominated for an award by the Highland Council! We were lucky enough to get in the top three company's and we find out the result next Wednesday. Wish us luck!

Congratulations and good luck to Farr High School's Young Enterprise Team My Wee Highland Hame in the forthcoming Highland Council Quality Awards. They've been nominated in the "Working Together for the Community" category to mark their outstanding achievements in the YES competition - and for being fantastic ambassadors for their school, their communities and Sutherland. They've been a great team to work with in 2014 and their nomination is very well deserved.

So the UK finals are over and we won Best Presentation! Unfortunately we didn't get any other awards but we are very happy for the other teams as they deserved to win! Congratulations to everyone on making it this far and good luck to Ace who are going to represent the UK in Estonia! 😊

Left yesterday around 4 o'clock and finally arrived in London at 8 o'clock this morning! Been touring round London all day and now we're waiting for the briefing! Thanks to everyone who has wished us good luck and supported us throughout this experience!

As you can imagine our team are very excited to be going to London at the end of the week for the Young Enterprise UK Finals! However, we could not have gotten this far without the generous support from the public and mainly, one other company!
