Can someone please tell us how we’re supposed to choose just 20 photos when we’ve got approximately 2,000 that we want to share?! 😭📸

We know, we know… we’ve kept you waiting faaaaar too long.
But the post-festival come down is REAL because seriously… what. a. day. 🥹

CharnWOODSTOCK was everything we hoped our 25th birthday celebration would be and more. Seeing so many past and present families, children and team members all in one place celebrating 25 years of Charnwood Nursery & Preschool was pretty special.
We’d do anything to relive it all over again.

👶Exploring the Five Senses 👶

Last week our Baby Room have been discovering the wonderful world of the five senses!

👀 Look
✋ Feel
👃 Smell
👂 Listen
👅 Taste

From exploring lots of different textures and smelling a variety of exciting scents to trying avocado for the very first time, it was a day full of curiosity, discovery and plenty of new experiences.

These simple sensory activities help support communication, brain development and confidence as our littlest learners make sense of the world around them, one tiny exploration at a time. 💚

POV: You came for Sports Day… and left with 437 photos you’ll never delete. 🥹💚

From the highly competitive races to the parents taking things just a little too seriously (big up the momma’s who won & stole the show😉), we had the best morning together for Charnwood Nursery & Preschool - Thurmaston’s sports day today.

A special little mention has to go to our newest VIP, Keavie’s gorgeous lil girliepops, Alba Rae, who popped in for her first visit and stole the show.

Until next year… (that hyrox training will come in handy parents we promise!)

🎓 Well… who gave them permission to grow up this quickly?! 🥹

What a special day celebrating our amazing graduates at Charnwood Nursery & Preschool - Thurmaston this weekend. Watching them walk across the stage with the biggest smiles while their families cheered them on is a reminder of just how much can happen in a few short years.

These children have grown in confidence, made lifelong friendships, discovered new interests and filled our days with more laughter than we can count. It’s been a privilege to be part of their story.

To our wonderful families… thank you for trusting us with your greatest little people. We know nursery isn’t “just childcare” it’s where memories are made, milestones are celebrated and the foundations for everything that comes next are built.

Congratulations, Class of 2026. Good luck at big school! 💚

One of our favourite trips of the year... and for good reason.

There's something pretty special about revisiting Wymeswold Fruit Farm each summer with our children.

Of course, picking strawberries is great fun (especially when you're on a mission to find the biggest one 🍓), but it's about so much more than filling a punnet.

It's giving children the chance to see where strawberries really come from. That they don't just magically appear on the shelves in the supermarket, but grow from tiny flowers, need sunshine, rain and lots of care before they're ready to be picked.

These real-life experiences spark so many conversations, build curiosity and help children make sense of the world around them. Plus.. strawberries somehow taste *much* better when you've picked them yourself.

Thank you, Wymeswold Fruit Farm, for welcoming us back year after year. We already can't wait for our next visit!

Whether you've been with us for 25 years or 25 minutes... you've officially got plans on Saturday 1st August. 🕺🏻🎪🪩

In just under one month, we'll be throwing the biggest celebration we've ever hosted and, we would HATE for you to be the one seeing everyone else's photos afterwards wishing you'd come

Think live music, a live DJ DJ Wilko, bouncy castle, a mega slide, great food, games, festival vibes and plenty to keep the whole family entertained.

It's our way of celebrating 25 incredible years of Charnwood Nursery & Preschool with the people who made it what it is.

Whether you were one of our very first families, your little one comes to us now, you're an employee, or you know someone with a grown up child who used to come to us ... we'd absolutely LOVE to see you there.

WORLD CUP READY! 🏆

Last week, our superstars at Charnwood Nursery & Preschool -Thurmaston got warmed up and ready for the World Cup!

The children explored how exercise affects their bodies, practised stretching different muscles, and even tried to remember whether it was a hamstring or an ACL they needed to protect before kick-off… 👀😂

There’s plenty more World Cup fun to come, with lots of learning, teamwork and goals along the way!

The big question is… England or Panama tomorrow?🇬🇧🇵🇦

Our money’s on England bringing it home, obvs!🥇

Not too sure if you knew… but WE WON NURSERY OF THE YEAR!! 🎉🥳🏆

We started off the celebrations with a special coffee morning yesterday at Charnwood Nursery & Preschool – Thurmaston 💚

It was such a lovely morning chatting with our families, welcoming our children, and handing out a little thank you (and a much needed coffee, obvs!) to keep our parents going on the road.

Today was just the beginning of our celebrations, and we can’t wait to keep the excitement going as we celebrate 25 incredible years this summer with our CharnWOODSTOCK Festival! (See you there?!)

A huge thank you to our amazing children, families, and team. Your support, trust, and dedication are what make Charnwood so special, and this award belongs to every single one of you.

Here’s to 25 years of making memories, inspiring little minds, and many more years to come! 💚

⚽️🌍 POV: Your child spent yesterday preparing for the World Cup... and somehow has only just started to say the word 'ball'

Our children were fully in the World Cup spirit yesterday with a day packed full of party tea, biscuit decorating, messy play and plenty of football fever.

Safe to say the children had a ball... (no pun intended)
