This week we've been participating in the Sky Arts' Access All Arts Week 2026 which is a nationwide creative initiative.
The primary theme for the 2026 programme is 'Joy' Creative Areas & Star Lineup
We have completed activities linked to five distinct categories of artistic expression, featuring prominent creative figures:

Words: Poetry and storytelling masterclasses featuring children's author Michael Rosen.

Sounds: Singing, instruments, and music workshops supported by the Benedetti Foundation.

Marks: 2D, 3D, and digital mark-making guided by artist and designer Morag Myerscough.

Images: Photography and filmmaking, including animation projects with Ritzy Animation.

Moves: High-energy dance and drama curriculum modules.

The sun may not be shining but the toddlers were still smiling at the summer spectacular play and craft session yesterday. 😃☀️😃

Roll up! Roll up! It’s circus time for Faraway Tree class. 🎪
Yesterday we took the children to the circus. The dreadful weather didn’t dampen our spirits as it meant we were lucky enough to eat our picnics in the Tower Ballroom. What a treat for the children.
They all enjoyed the circus acts and had an absolute ball. All the children were incredibly behaved and were a credit to the school.

As we approach the end of the academic year, I’m delighted to share details of a new transition support programme for Year 6 parents.
The programme will be delivered at The Manor & Hub, Cleveleys, and is open to Year 6 parents from all districts. It consists of four themed sessions designed to help parents understand the transition from primary to secondary school, feel informed and prepared, and gain practical tools and signposting for any concerns that may arise. Sessions are delivered by industry experts alongside local professionals.
There is also an optional fifth session for families who may already have deeper or underlying concerns and would benefit from more focused support.
As we all know, the move to secondary school is a significant change. Many young people experience a few bumps along the way in Year 7, even with good preparation. While our local high schools offer excellent support for students, parents often feel more disconnected as routines change and daily access to staff becomes less frequent. This programme aims to strengthen prevention by equipping parents with knowledge, confidence and clear pathways to support — helping create a smoother, happier transition for the whole family.

The sunshine gods were looking down on us today at Men’s Shed. ☀️
After checking on our sunflower seeds, which we planted last time, we were set to work. We weeded all the planters ready for next time, when we will be adding plants and seeds for the summer.

Everyone at Manor Beach Primary would like to wish our very own Mr Grant a very Happy 50th Birthday.
