Primary Yellow have had a wonderful visit to The Plant Place today!๐ฑ๐ท
They were shown around by Craig who was certainly a dedicated member of the staff team. He gave them the opportunity to explore different plants and flowers and even water some of them. We looked around the Garden Centre and asked lots of questions.๐ง๐ชด
Primary Yellow were fantastic. Mrs Barnsley was so proud of them.

A heartfelt thank you to all the parents who were able to attend our recent Learn with Your Child eventโit was wonderful that so many of you were able to come into school to support your childrenโs learning. ๐๐
There are many ways you can support your child and the school community, and one of these is by becoming part of our governing body. We are now looking to recruit a Parent Governor in the Autumn term. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference by contributing to school development and play a meaningful role in shaping Great Arley's future.
There is no need to have any experience of working with young people -just a genuine interest in supporting the school and all of our students. If this is something that interests you, please donโt hesitate to contact the school office by email or phone for further information.

Katie from Thornton Methodist Church visited KS3 and delivered an engaging session on a parable!
She explained the story clearly, helping students understand its meaning and relevance.
The students were highly engaged, asking thoughtful questions and contributing well to discussions, making it a positive and valuable experience for all.โจ๐

What an incredible few days at Hothersall Lodge for our Key Stage 3 residential last week! ๐
The pupils took part in a wide range of activities including canoeing, archery, orienteering, gorge scrambling and rock climbing. We even managed to squeeze in an evening campfire during a break in the rain! ๐ฅ
They showed brilliant determination, resilience and teamwork throughout. We are so proud of every student, they were absolutely fantastic and embraced every challenge. ๐

We would like to let our wider community know about some upcoming tree works on our school site.
Following a recent professional inspection, one of our trees has sadly been found to have significant structural issues, including splitting and decay within the trunk. As much as we value the natural environment around our school, the damage to the structure means the tree now poses a safety risk and will need to be carefully removed.
We know this tree has been part of the landscape for many years, and it is always disappointing when action like this is necessary, however, the safety and wellbeing of our pupils, staff and visitors must always come first.
The work will be carried out by specialist contractors to ensure it is done safely and with care.
Thank you, as always, for your understanding and continued support.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our 3/4LHH Enterprise Shop last term.
We are delighted to share that the pupils raised an incredible ยฃ169.50 through their hard work, creativity, and teamwork.
This fantastic achievement would not have been possible without the support of our school, who visited the shop and made a purchase. Your encouragement helped the pupils gain valuable real-world business experience while raising an amazing amount of money๐

Yesterday we celebrated National Numeracy Day. We took part in lots of activities including a LIVE lesson with Mr Money Jar where we considered money themed 'would you rather...?' questions. We created posters demonstrating how numbers are used in our communities and worked together to solve NumBots and TimesTable Rockstars challenges to build a playground, park or skatepark.
We had a great day! ๐๐
