Our Egg Competition! 🥚

We had such a wonderful time with our Egg Decorating Competition this term. We already can’t wait to do it again next year! 🐣🎨

A huge thank you to all of our amazing families who took part. We were all amazed with the creativity, effort, and imagination that went into every single entry.

It wasn’t an easy task to choose our winners, as we truly loved them all - so we invited a special panel of judges (some of Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School’s fantastic Year 6 children!) who selected three winners - one from each age category. A big well done to our 3 winners, you should all be very proud! 🌟 A massive well done to every single child though, every creation was amazing ❤️

Of course, our preschool grown-ups couldn’t resist joining in the fun too! Mrs Johnson kindly stepped in as our judge and chose her top three creations - 1. Auntie Chelsea, 2. Auntie Mel and 3. Uncle Matt! Thank you, Mrs Johnson! 😀

Finally, we let the children have their say by voting for their favourite from the runners-up… and they chose Auntie Keira as their winner! 🎉

Well done everyone, and thank you again 😊 We wish you all a very Happy Easter! 🐣

🩷 Happy International Women’s Day 🩷

Today we celebrate the amazing women and girls who make up our wonderful preschool community 🥰

Firstly, we want to celebrate our amazing pre-school girls. You are all strong, brilliant and capable of anything you put your minds to. The future is yours 🔮

We would also like to celebrate all of the special women in our children’s lives - mums, sisters, aunties, grandmas, cousins, carers and more!. All of whom help to shape our children into the confident, kind and curious people we know them to be 😀❤️

I would also like to celebrate our wonderful Aunties - Keira, Carly, Clare and Mel and our student Holly, our little team of caring, dedicated women who support, nurture and inspire our children every single day. I am so proud of the love, patience and encouragement they bring to our setting daily 🩷

Thank you to all the incredible women in our community for everything you do 🥰

World Book Day (part 2!) 📚❤️

We couldn’t let the celebrations stop at Thursday, so on Friday we all dressed up all over again and had a marvellous time. We were particularly impressed yesterday with the abundance of Spider-Men and Princesses that we had! 🕸️🕷️👸 We have also loved seeing the creativity of all of the costumes we have seen, so many incredible characters from all of our favourite books over the last couple of days! 🥰 📚

This week we have enjoyed lots of story times, in every area of our provision and continued to develop our emerging literacy skills. Happy book week everybody! 😀📚

📚 World Book Day 📚

What a wonderful day we have had today, celebrating our favourite stories and characters. We have had the most marvellous time dressing up, as always! World Book Day is one of our favourite days of the year 😀 There’s even more fun to be had tomorrow, on our World Book Day (part two!)❤️

The Aunties have been very busy (and very serious😂) this evening planning our wonderful half-term ahead! 😀

We have lots of fun things planned, and are very excited to get stuck in!🥰❤️

Another incredible week at pre-school celebrating Australia Day and Chinese New Year!

We started our week learning about Australia, the animals that live there and also trying the Australian treat ‘Fairy Bread’ 😋🇦🇺

Then we moved onto Chinese New Year. We learned about different parts of the Chinese culture of celebrating, from making and hanging up lanterns, trying different foods, using chopsticks and learning names, letters and phrases in Chinese too. A wonderful week of learning 🥰🇨🇳

Last week we celebrated ‘Penguin Awareness Day’ and also looked into Antarctica, where a lot of them live! 🐧

Lots of penguin themed activities, and icy Antarctica fun! 🩵

Oral Health and Healthy Eating Week 🦷🪥

Last week, our pre-schoolers were extremely busy learning all about healthy eating, how to look after their teeth and why they should look after their teeth. 🦷

They enjoyed learning the process of brushing their teeth, learning which foods are healthy and unhealthy, sharing experiences of going to the dentist, and also re-enacting those experiences in our role play dentist area.

What a fun week we had 😁
