Where do we even begin with this amazing group of children?

At just 5 and 6 years old, the confidence they showed was incredible and we couldn't be prouder of every single one of them. They were the cheekiest, loveliest and most wonderful group of little rabbits, dancing their hearts out on stage and bringing so much joy to everyone watching.

You all worked so hard and gave us such a fantastic team performance. Seeing your smiles, enthusiasm and bravery shine through was truly special.

Well done, little rabbits - we are all so incredibly proud of you! 🐰✨❤️

What an amazing time we all had at Thornton Gala! It was so lovely to see so many of our Baines family and friends along the route cheering us on!

Our decorated lorry looked beautiful as we proudly showed off the art work from every class - and every single child at Baines - based on the story of Peter Rabbit. We have all worked incredibly hard over the last few weeks in school to draw, paint and collage all the different characters from these story books as well as making lots of flowers and funky vegetables for this garden theme.

A huge thank you goes to the large number of children (approximately seventy!) and staff from Baines who dressed up on the day and rode on the lorry to celebrate one hundred and sixty years of Beatrix Potter.

We were extremely proud to receive ‘first place’ and were awarded a special trophy and certificate.

Finally, a huge thank you to Sid Hill and his colleagues who, for the third year running, made this all possible by providing a lorry (and driver) for us to use.

Enjoy the pictures!

What a day! There has been plenty of smiles, lots of physical activity and sack loads of competition at our Sports Day 2026! A massive thank you to all of our fabulous spectators, our determined athletes and some of the students from Millfield for helping to make our day memorable! Congratulations to Maple, who won for Key Stage 1 and Oak, who won for Key Stage 2. 🏆 🏃‍♂️ ☀️

What a fabulous afternoon at the Wyre & Fylde Dynamo Cricket heats. We have a team of superstar cricketers who showed excellent teamwork by supporting and encouraging each other all afternoon. It was a pleasure to watch.

Played 4, won 4… and delighted to be through to the Wyre Finals later this month.

Today, the children took part in the the next house challenge - our very first orienteering competition! The sun was shining, the music was playing and everyone had a part to play in order to win points for their team. It was hotly contested, but the winners were…. the Willow team! 🏃 🌟 🏆 Well done!!

What a fabulous afternoon our ‘High Fives’ team had at the Beestinger tournament this afternoon. They all showed a great attitude and were a credit to our school. Thank you to everyone who turned up to cheer the team on too.

Reception have had the most wonderful day of hands-on learning exploring Ridgeway Farm. 🐄🌾

A huge thank you to Farmer Helen for making our visit so fun, engaging, and full of fascinating facts. We loved every moment of discovering life on the farm!

We have some very sleepy little farmers this evening after such an exciting adventure. 💤🚜

EYFS at Team Baines is full of magical memories today that the children will be talking about for a long time to come. ✨

Wow, what can we say? These girls (and Ava too, who couldn’t be in the picture) have been a joy to work with and they have worn our badge with pride! Every week, they have played with smiles on their faces and shown the amount of determination which makes us all VERY proud of them. Well done ladies! ⚽️ 🌟
