With the summer approaching, it's time to update availability for 1-1 tutoring sessions. If you are looking for support with your child's Maths, English, 11+ prep or simply looking to boost their confidence in school ahead of September, drop me a message to find out how I can help. These sessions always fill up quickly at this time of year, so get in touch soon to avoid disappointment! Availability:

Tuesdays - 17:30-18:30
Wednesdays - 17:30-18:30
Thursdays - 17:30-18:30
Fridays 17:30-19:00

I am now down to my last available weekly tutoring slot, open to anyone within 5km of Thornbury. The slot is a weekend session, suitable for 1 or 2 students and is a 2-hour time slot. TOP TIP: Looking for the easiest way to help your kids get more confident at maths? Times Tables. Yes, they're boring. Yes, they're tough to master. *But* if your child is in upper Key Stage 1 or above then mastering times tables will make maths lessons so much more accessible for them.
Chant them in the car, chant them on your walks, chant them in the bath - they'll soon become a second language and EVERYTHING else becomes easier 😁

Parents of little people - free resource tip! Take an empty cardboard box and cut out holes, with one side still attached, and then seal it up. This is great for dexterity, problem solving and fine motor skills and will keep them entertained for a good few minutes 😂 Remember to support them by using the right verbs in the correct tense - even if it feels like they don't understand, they're absorbing it all like a tiny sponge!
"Can you open the square?" "Good job closing the triangle!" "You opened the box and put your blocks in, well done!" "Try putting the red square into the box."

Top Easter Holiday Tip: Try to get your kids writing down or drawing things they have done or places they have been. Chances are they'll be looking at this after the holidays, and having something to reference makes recount work *much* easier!
