Year 1/2H's new class text is: On Sudden Hill by Linda Sarah. Three children make exciting creations with cardboard boxes and become kings, pirates and astronauts. We worked as a team and had great fun recreating some of their creations. Can you guess which ones?

This week, Miss Cuthbert's maths group have been working on building their knowledge of numbers up to 100. We have been using Base 10 to help us create the number and then we counted in multiples of tens. We were able to write the number represented on our whiteboards. We then applied our knowledge to answer independent questions in our books. Keep up the good work everyone!

🎶Music of the Week! 🎶

This week we're exploring Samba music from Brazil. Samba is one of Brazil's most famous musical styles, combining energetic rhythms, singing and dancing. With roots in African drumming traditions, samba has become an important part of Brazilian culture and is celebrated around the world, especially during Rio de Janeiro's annual Carnival festival.

Our youngest children in school, Minis, have had a fantastic start to their learning journey. It has been lovely to see them being welcomed by our older Minis children. Well done to all the Minis! We are looking forward to next week to see what new experiences and memories we can make.
