The day was fair and sunny: sea and sky
Drank its inspiring radiance, and the wind
Swept strongly from the shore, blackening the waves.
Following his eager soul, the wanderer
Leaped in the boat, he spread his cloak aloft
On the bare mast, and took his lonely seat,
And felt the boat speed o'er the tranquil sea

As one that in a silver vision floats
Obedient to the sweep of odorous winds

Often there is no choice. As such, we must take what we are given and make the best of it.
However, If a choice is given, then consider carefully before you choose.
Always pick the essay you know how to write
In an exam don’t try to challenge yourself. Take the question you are most comfortable with and show the examiner how good you really are.
Ultimately you want to write the best essay you can. Thus give yourself the best chance by picking something that matches your knowledge and skill set.
For coursework, chose something you are trully interested in, something that excites and engages you, that you can get your teeth into .
Choose wisely, as hours, weeks or months of work may be required to complete it.

Essays instruct our expression of thought, the words we use to speak our minds. Language, our greatest invention, is critical to great essays, but moreover to a successful life.

The Mastery of words is of paramount importance. Without precise communication we are alone in the dark; deaf to reality, blind to fact and dumb to protest.

Command of communication is power, the power to inform, argue and persuade. Our voices should be strong, elegant and exact. Our diction powerful, adaptable and effective. Fundamentally, language should serve our needs.

The more accurately we can express ourselves, the more likely we are to be understood, and thus get what we want.

The essay is the union of thought, structure and expression. It is a problem solved, a situation understood or an opinion convinced.
Through the essay we can understand and be understood, learn and teach, observe and demonstrate. Most importantly prove and disprove. With these abilities we increase our strength and charge our potential.

The better we are at essays; the better we can deal with the world and the better we become as individuals.

Aim to be great at essays. Aim to be great at life. Aim to be great.
