🧸🐝 Yesterday our Busy Bees enjoyed a very special Teddy Bears’ Picnic to celebrate the end of their nursery journey. 🐝🧸

The children had a wonderful time sharing a picnic with their favourite teddy bears, enjoying delicious cakes, fresh fruit, jam sandwiches and tasty treats before playing games with balloons and making lots of happy memories together.

It was the perfect way to celebrate an amazing year of learning, laughter and friendship. We are so proud of everything our Busy Bees have achieved and can’t wait to see them continue to flourish as they move on to Reception in September.

Good luck, Busy Bees – we’ll miss you all, but we know you’re ready for your next adventure! 💛🎈🌟

2025-2026 school year that’s a wrap!!!!!
As another fantastic school year comes to an end, we have been reflecting on just how much we have achieved together. Alongside our daily learning and the curriculum, our children have enjoyed an incredible range of enrichment opportunities that have made this year truly memorable.
We have welcomed inspiring visitors into school, including Mini Police, the Fire Brigade for their Dark Nights safety talk, Crucial Crew, Restart a Heart Day, Music for Life, drama workshops, dance workshops, KidzFit, Skip2BeFit, the climbing wall, skateboard and Scooterbility sessions, GW Football Academy coaching, and Aquatic Finatics Animal Club. Our pupils have also developed new musical talents through drumming, ukulele and keyboard lessons.
Our love of reading, music and the arts has continued to flourish with World Book Day celebrations, Young Voices, our school choir performing at the Rotary Club's Jasmine Harrison Homecoming Event, Christmas Nativity performances, the Year 6 Leavers' Production, and a wonderful visit from a theatre company to perform The Railway Children for us
Learning beyond the classroom has been a real highlight. Children enjoyed educational visits to the North Yorkshire Moors, church visits, Little Learners, Peat Rigg Residential, and a fun-filled end-of-year trip to Lightwater Valley Theme Park. Year 6 also took part in Bikeability, helping them develop valuable cycling skills and confidence.
We have celebrated many special events throughout the year, including Harvest Festival, Christmas Jumper Day, Christmas parties, the PTA Christmas Fayre and Tea with the Grinch, parent craft days, PTA discos, cake stalls, the Rotary Club Santa Run, Red Nose Day, Comic Relief, our Colour Run and Foam Party, and our annual Fun Run. These events have brought our school community together while raising money for important causes and creating lasting memories.
Sport has once again played a huge part in school life. Alongside swimming lessons, gymnastics, Sports Day and a wide variety of after-school sports clubs, pupils have represented the school in numerous inter-school tournaments throughout the year. Their teamwork, determination and sportsmanship have made us incredibly proud.
Throughout the year, our children have also benefited from inspiring assemblies, exciting science club sessions, hands-on learning experiences and countless opportunities to develop confidence, resilience, creativity and independence.
When we look back over everything we have shared this year, it is clear that school is about so much more than lessons in the classroom. Every trip, visitor, performance, workshop, celebration and sporting event has helped our children grow, discover new talents, make wonderful memories and build friendships that will last a lifetime.
Thank you to our incredible staff, supportive families, volunteers, PTA, governors and the many organisations who have given their time and expertise to provide such amazing opportunities for our children. Most importantly, thank you to our pupils, whose enthusiasm, kindness and willingness to embrace every opportunity have made this such a successful and unforgettable year.

🐯🎭 Nursery and Reception had a brilliant morning taking part in a musical theatre dance workshop based on The Tiger Who Came to Tea.

The children had so much fun dancing, moving and acting out parts of the story, showing fantastic imagination, confidence and enthusiasm throughout. It was lovely to see everyone getting involved and enjoying such a fun, active way to bring a favourite story to life! 💛

🌞 Good morning!

Yesterday, Reception had a fantastic morning taking part in two exciting activities as part of PE Enrichment Week.

The children started the day with a scooting session, where they explored different ways of moving safely and confidently, developing their balance, coordination and control. It was lovely to see so many children showing an ambitious attitude by challenging themselves and giving every activity their best effort.

Our second session focused on football with Graham and Alex from GW Football Academy , with the children learning how to play together as a team. They practised passing, communicating and supporting one another, creating an inclusive environment where everyone was encouraged to get involved and celebrate each other’s achievements.

It was a wonderful morning full of smiles, resilience and teamwork. We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm Reception showed and how they embraced every challenge with confidence. Well done, Reception! 🛴⚽🌟

Reception Graduation ...CLASS of 2026.

What a fantastic Reception Graduation! Our amazing class celebrated with wonderful songs, proud smiles, and lots of imagination as they dressed up as the careers they dream of having in the future. From doctors and firefighters to teachers, vets, and more, their ambitions shone brightly today. We are so proud of every one of you and can't wait to see where your dreams take you. Congratulations, Reception Class!

Day one of our PE Enrichment Week got off to an exciting start! We were delighted to welcome Carl from Kidz Fit and the climbing wall to kick off what promises to be a fantastic week of fun, challenge, and active learning.

Our pupils have already shown great enthusiasm, determination, and teamwork—we can't wait to see what the rest of the week has in store! 🧗‍♀️💪
