Could parents of class 1 and 2, please check your child hasnt brought home a plain zip up black hoody. (H&m or primark I think) Archie has a habit of taking it off his hoodies during PE. At the end of the day when I sent him back to get it, it was gone. The school cant find it. Was taken a couple of weeks ago and I was hoping to have had it returned by now. Cost me £10 so would much appreciate it returned. Thanks
Hey 👋 hope everyone is having a nice half term 😁.
I am having to self isolate due to being in contact with someone who since tested positive (nobody else in my household came into contact with this person.) I know this is a lot to ask and I completely understand if people do not feel comfortable doing so and I'm really sorry I am having to ask, but is there anybody who is able to pick Laurie up from school for me next week and possibly take her to school (we are hoping John will be able to take her each day🤞but won't know until later this week.)
We live in Sowerby gateway.
Thank you # # #
Sorry not school related but does anybody know if Sowerby play park has opened up again yet? Thanks
Hi all. I have 3 size 28 jumpers in very good condition. They were only worn for 1 term but now grown out of.
We would love to pass them down but would appreciate a donation towards them to put towards purchasing new ones. Please let me know if you would like them!
MISSING SHOES
Kian has come home in somebody else’s school shoes (red in soles) is anybody in class 2 missing a pair or have Kians please!!
I have a picture of them for anyone unsure.
Thank you
Thankyou for a fab evening with the year 6's ; Joe has had an amazing night # # #

🚨OPEN DAY ALERT! 🚨

We are back hosting our first open event since the pandemic, and we cannot wait!

Details:
⭐️ All Saints Primary School,
⭐️ Thirsk,
⭐️ North Yorkshire,
⭐️ ALL DAY, drop in anytime.

Perhaps you have seen some of our ads, heard another school mention us, or just generally wondered what is ‘Inspired Playgrounds’ and would it be a good fit for our school…

Well, this is the perfect opportunity for schools in the area to visit us throughout the day, to see one of our training days in action.

Throughout the day we will be following our usual plan, followed by a family workout to finish, with parents and carers invited into school to celebrate the investment the school has made. You can see and ask us questions first hand on:

- Inspired Playgrounds in general
- The data tracking
- The training day and how we work with teaching assistants, LSA’s, as well as the wonderful leaders, usually form year 5 and/or 6 and also train teaching staff on how to use markings for learning breaks and in their PE lessons
- Why is it sustainable?
- How to create a more active lunch time

💡If Inspired Playgrounds isn’t right for your school, don’t worry, we have other solutions to meet your needs and budget 😊

Today in RSE, Class 3 looked at the parable of the Prodigal Son and discussed how God does not leave us, our sins take us further away from him and we looked at how Jesus can bring us closer to him.

Thought for the day.

Since its the last day of January a treat for you ...

Out for your dinner - why not pick a lamppost or street sign and step it up! You'll be surprised how fast you can get there!

After seeing the children smash daily mile at school I'm sure they will do well with this one!

Happy running!

31/01/2022

Thursday motivation!

Lets get crunching!

27/01/2022

We deviated from gymnastics for P.E today in class 2 as the hall was a little busy. We decided to create an obstacle course to practise our fundamental movement skills. We followed it up by having a game of silent ball which the children LOVED. Amazing work Class 2 👏🏻👏🏻

We would just like to say thank you for this wonderful thoughtful gift we have just received, it has most definitely lifted our spirits. We are so fortunate to be part of such a wonderful school community. 🥰

26/01/2022

We all had a go at our wall sits today for Active Jan.

This was the KS1 attempt. We all got gold but some even stayed like this for 5 minutes (which is waaaaay longer than Miss Stokes managed).

Well done 🥇 👏🏻

26/01/2022

Look at the resilience of this! One of our class 2 children did 60 laps(!!!) today of our smaller circuit we created! This is his personal record and he even carried on running when everyone else had stopped for a well deserved little break! Amazing 👏🏻👏🏻

21/01/2022

Class 2 enjoyed their P.E lesson today! We did some symmetrical and asymmetrical spins and some balances too. Fabulous work!

21/01/2022

Hockey club last night was well attended and they had lots of fun!

Mr Bowman, our amazing sports coach, is definitely putting them through their paces and we are seeing some great progress with their hockey skills!

21/01/2022

Well done Class 1 super readers! 📚📚📚

21/01/2022

It's a yoga kind of Friday afternoon 👌

How are you spending your Friday getting your recommended 30 mins of exercise a day?

21/01/2022

KS1 are loving their singing lessons! 🎶

21/01/2022

Happy Friday!

A very energetic one today - how many can you do?

20/01/2022

Don’t forget it’s Frozen Friday tomorrow - or Freestyle Friday as we like to call it, since it’s a bit chilly for ice lollies.

Don’t forget to send your child in with 50p to buy a treat at break whilst raising money for the school.
