As promised, s’mores and a campfire over lunchtime with my lovely little gardeners! 🌳💚
This lunchtime, gardening club (and a few extra ☺️) and I spent time creating a campfire for some tasty treats. Do you think their faces look like they enjoyed them?
They worked together to collect and sort wood in order of diameter. They worked safely to start the fire and used wood to keep it going. 🔥❤️
This afternoon we had our Leavers Performance which was a lovely celebration of the fabulous Year 6 pupils who are leaving us on Friday.
They sung, danced and wowed us with their talents and made us laugh with their memories. They even managed to get Miss Clark, Mrs Edwards and Mrs Monaghan to join in for an encore!
The children have worked so hard in rehearsals over the last few weeks and it showed. They were simply amazing and we will miss them all so much.
Class 1 had a great time on the inflatable obstacle course yesterday!👏☺️
A huge thank you for all your support this afternoon! It was a wet but marvelous afternoon.

Today we say a fond farewell to the legend that is Mr Taylor! We can’t thank him enough for all the Love and support. We want to wish him the best of luck with his future 👏☺️we will all miss you.

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone that supported our book fair. Mrs Hick and our wonderful volunteer Theresa have spent a lot of time creating a refreshed, calm and organised library with a wealth of reading materials freely available to all our children.
Today our new books arrived, all thanks to the support you gave! What a wonderful end of term gift.
This morning we came together and celebrated our leavers during our Leavers Liturgy. Today we reflected on the love and care all our children have shown throughout their years here at All Saints, wishing them well in the journey to their new schools.
We also took time to thank Canon Pat for his dedication and support to our a parish and school, as he retires later this summer and to Mr Taylor, who moves onto his new school in September.

We have been busy bees in Class 1 this afternoon! 🐝💛
Some of our children decided to create a new game. They independently created courses and obstacles that they had to pass to get onto the next level. They showed great persistence and resilience when things didn’t quite go to plan and were very supportive to one another, showing fantastic sportsmanship! What a good job 👏
We are excited to welcome Slumber Squad Party Hire to our fair next week!
Class 3 have been busy this afternoon finding out about the geographical features of Thirsk and sorting them into human and physical features!
Mrs Hick kindly arranged a visitor for the staff at both Sowerby and All Saints yesterday morning! Fred & Bert's Coffee dropped by for a morning break time pick-me-up!
Barry was as wonderful as ever and all the staff were refuelled ready for the day.
Thank you to our staff for the wonderful job they do all year round! A little treat goes a long way!
In Class 2 today we have been learning about endurance running during PE. We learnt the importance of a slow and steady pace to allow our bodies to run for longer without tiring quickly.
At the end of the session we enjoyed some challenges including rock, paper, scissors!
Class 3 are having great fun this morning acting out their story plans!

Class 3 have been very inventive this afternoon finding out about a vegetarian diet and creating a menu as part of our Science work!
Tomorrow we celebrate Postgate Day! Children are welcome to come into school wearing yellow clothes!
This week has all been about creating. 🎨👏
From junk modelling, building and drawing. Our imaginations have taken us to space, in planes, to an ice-cream parlour and not forgetting beautiful pictures of our families.
We had to use our creating and thinking skills when we used more than one component to achieve something and showed great resilience when things didn’t go to plan straight away. ☺️
Class 4 have been working hard on their biography of our lovely TA Mrs Monaghan!
The Year Ones have been learning about money during their maths lessons. Once they had completed their book work, some of the children continued their learning in the maths areas by creating a shop complete with till and scanner.
Class 3 have had a super afternoon working on collaborative art pieces!
We have a fantastic lineup planned for our Summer Fayre!
With trade stands, school stands a BBQ and HUGE inflatable obstacle course there will be something for everybody on Tuesday 18th July.

Well, what a sports day! The children had a great time, the parents had an even better time and the teachers… are aching.
