We had a lovely visit from one of our Jelly Tots grandparents, who came along to play the violin for the children 🎻

The children were fascinated by the music and absolutely loved listening to her play. It was such a lovely experience for them to see a familiar family connection sharing something special with their nursery friends!

🌿 Forest School Adventures

Tori, our Forest School Leader, came along for a session in the mud kitchen, where the children also got stuck into some brilliant den building! 🪵🍃

Forest School gives children the freedom to explore, experiment and learn in a different environment. Activities like den building help develop problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills, while getting hands-on with natural materials encourages curiosity and confidence.

Our children turned a classic favourite into a really fun counting activity, serving up plates of chips and counting them as they went.

It’s a simple way to introduce early maths skills while keeping the learning hands-on, playful and engaging.

Because when learning feels like play, little minds are much more excited to get involved! 💚

We’ve got our Level 2 Gardening Award! 🌱🪏🏆

We’ve been busy growing all sorts of fruits and vegetables in our nursery garden, as well as making the most of our shared allotment with the Charles Burrell Centre.

From planting and caring for our crops to watching them grow, there’s always something new to discover when little hands get stuck into gardening! 🍐🍇🌶️

🥕🥒 Toddlers had a super time bringing the story of Supertato to life with a fun, hands-on tuff tray activity!

Using coloured water, the children worked together to melt frozen vegetables, discovering different textures, exploring new smells and watching colours mix as the ice slowly disappeared. It was a fantastic sensory experience that sparked plenty of curiosity, conversation and imaginative play. 🌈 💚

Our baby room had lots of fun exploring a farm-themed sensory tray today! 🐮🚜🌾🥕🐷

Using toy tractors, cardboard tubes and different sensory materials, the children enjoyed scooping, rolling and pouring as they explored, discovering new textures and smells while having fun creating different sounds through the tubes!🔊

Looking back at the very best day of the year! 💚🎓

Our Graduation Celebration is always a proud and emotional milestone as we celebrate just how much our little learners have grown. Watching them walk across the stage, collect their certificates and celebrate with their families is something we’ll never take for granted.

While it’s always bittersweet to say goodbye, we couldn’t be prouder of every child taking their next big step. We’ll be cheering them on every step of the way! ✨

There’s no better way to learn than by getting hands-on than a mud kitchen! 🧑‍🍳👩‍🍳

Our mud kitchen was full of busy chefs as the children chopped, poured, mixed and explored a wonderful selection of natural ingredients 🥬🍃

Activities like this help develop fine motor skills, creativity, communication and teamwork, all while building confidence through open-ended play. Best of all, the children were completely immersed in their own ideas and having lots of messy fun. 💚
