We will be holding a collection for Bowel Cancer UK on behalf of Stephen Bucknall, after he sadly passed away on 5th February 2021. Stephen’s family have requested for donations to be made to Bowel Cancer UK in his memory.

Some of you may not have known Stephen in and around Thetford, but his efforts to improve the lives of young people in your communities has not gone unnoticed. Many young adults can trace their apprenticeships, their jobs, their improved qualifications, and their boost in confidence back to the college that he set up.

He truly cared about the lives of others and he will be greatly missed.

An update on the fly tipping and rough sleeping on Abbey Farm.

I got a couple of emails to say that the fly tipping had been cleared. However, it appears that it's only half true. The two images here are the ones that remain. It is progress though. 👍

A lovely lady from Breckland Council called me and told me she'd asked the police to visit the rough sleeper and offer him support. She said that she would do her best to help and that her department would monitor the case.
I haven't been back to see if he's still there.

Let's keep doing our bit. They're our neighbourhoods. They're our responsibility.
