DINOSAURS!!!!! 🦖🦕
In our knowledge session this half term, we are learning about dinosaurs. The children have been describing a Tyrannosaurus and Stegosaurus and finding out facts about them. The children have explored being paleontologists and digging up bones and fossils. We are becoming dinosaur experts and will continue to develop our knowledge further during the rest of the half term.

This half term in nursery we are focusing on the story 'The Three Billy Goats Gruff' we are building our knowledge of the story, developing our comprehension skills, recalling key phrases and understanding new vocabulary. Towards the end of the half term we will be testing our skills and recalling the story.
The children enjoyed finding out about bridges to support the understanding of the main setting in the story. They used their physical skills to balance across the bridge and recalled the words 'Trip Trap' as they crossed the bridge. Some of the children then used their exploration time to draw, build and create bridges in different ways. 🐐🐐🐐

We are very proud of our nursery children for being super brave during their christmas performance, singing so many songs with actions and a Christmas poem!
Well done nursery! We have some stars in the making ✨️

The children in Reception have also been focusing on the knowledge theme 'All About Me.' They have been learning about people that help us in our community.
They were very lucky to have a special visit from two police officers. They enjoyed listening to them explain their role and how they help us in the community. The children thought of some fantastic questions to ask to extend their knowldge further. They were even able to wear some of the uniform and explore some of the items they use.

A big thankyou to our visitors!

It is great to see some of our previous nursery children extending their knowledge and enjoying their new class.
