A bit about me:

Hello im Charlie Wise i have worked in childcare since 2007 i have gained my NVQ level 3 in childcare learning and development and have also completed my 12 hours paediatric first aid course, i have been on several sensory motor courses, i have a excellent understanding of the EYFS and the Children's developmental stages. I live with my husba

nd, daughter, (5years), son ( 2years) and we have 2 cats and a dog who are very good with the children. My spaces and areas i can do drop off/collections:

I am currently working with 2 assistants one is trained to nvq level 3 and has previous experience in nurserys and holiday clubs, the other will be starting her apprenticeship with us soon, we stick to the legal ratios but like to keep the groups small to allow for more settled environment. I currently pick up and drop off fir tree school, local pre schools and spurcroft school I am willing to do pick ups from other pre schools depending on times needed. And as of early 2021 will have availability to collect from other primary schools

we do currently have full time and part time spaces, for school aged children, and under 5s
We offer flexible childcare for parents working shift patterns as well. A bit about Wise Owls

Wise Owls is open 5 days a week 8:00-5.30, different sessions are available to suit you within the opening hours. I also offer collection and drop off to pre-schools/ schools/ nursery and will be responsible for the children during these times unless agreed other wise. At wise owls the children are offered access to the out side at all times they also have access to many messy activities through out their day. Hygiene
Independence
Toileting
Manners

These are all taught throughout the day within the childrens play. We have many outings and will visit the local discovery park, We also visit the living rain-forest, library, group sessions and local parks. (Outdoor visits are currently restricted due to covid-19)

The children are encouraged to help prepare most of their own meals and to wash hands and brush their teeth after each meal. Children are offered 2 meals a day and various snacks, drinks are available at all times. For more information/ detail on Wise Owls please feel free to contact me:

Dear Providers,



Please find below a reminder of the Emergency Alert Check taking place on Sunday 23rd April, and what people should do if they need to switch off alerts for their own safety. Please share this information with families.



Dear all,



Please be aware that on Sunday 23rd April, the Government will be issuing a mobile phone emergency alert check. This means any mobiles which are on will be activated and sound an alarm.



Anyone experiencing domestic abuse who has a hidden phone for safety emergency reasons may be affected and perpetrators could be alerted to the presence of the secret phone if they are near the victim/secret phone when the alert goes off.



If anyone has a secret mobile phone hidden from an abusive partner, they need to be advised to switch it off or put in airplane mode otherwise every compatible mobile phone or tablet in range of a mast will receive the alert. Your mobile phone or tablet does not have to be connected to mobile data or Wi-Fi to get alerts.



The alert will say: “This is a test of Emergency Alerts, a new UK government service that will warn you if there’s a life-threatening emergency nearby. In an actual emergency, follow the instructions in the alert to keep yourself and others safe. Visit gov.uk/alerts for more information. This is a test. You do not need to take any action.”



You can opt out of emergency alerts, but the government advises you should keep them switched on for your own safety.



To opt out:

Search your settings for ‘emergency alerts’.

Turn off ‘severe alerts’ and ‘extreme alerts’.

If you still get alerts, contact your device manufacturer for help.
