Toby's bass student Burt performed with his band at Beefjam in Newbury last week, and he got on the mic, too! 🙌

Seeing our students get out there, play with their bands, and give it some on stage is such a brilliant feeling. Super proud of you, Burt!

A massive Happy Birthday to our very own 🔑MA • LAR • KEY🔑 ! 🎂

I’ve known this lad since he was a kid, back when he first started coming to us for guitar lessons. To have watched him grow from that kid with a guitar into the artist, producer, and songwriter he is today has been pretty bloody special.

On Saturday night, he was up in London doing his thing, playing his own music, and watching these videos genuinely gave me one of those proper proud dad moments. 😂❤️

The amount of work that goes on behind the scenes to get to moments like this is ridiculous, and he deserves every bit of what’s coming his way.

From guitar lessons all those years ago to now being a huge part of what we do here at Groove… what a journey.

Happy birthday, mate. Incredibly proud of you.

And I’ve got a feeling you’re only just getting started. 🚀

LOOK AT THAT DOOR 😍😂

Never thought we'd be this excited about a door, but here we are.

After what feels like approximately 14 years of waiting, our new 38dB acoustic door has FINALLY arrived 🙌

Did we make the hole slightly too small?
Yes.

Did that stop us?
Absolutely not. 😂🔨

A bit of gentle persuasion later and she's in.

It might just look like a very expensive white door, but it'll make a massive difference to the sound isolation at Groove — keeping the drums, amps and general chaos where they belong. 🥁🎸

September has been a busy one at Groove, with 12 new trial lessons already since the start of term! 🤘

It’s been brilliant welcoming so many new faces through the doors and introducing them to our little music studio in the Berkshire countryside.

Two fully equipped teaching studios, guitar, drums, piano, vocals and music production… and the occasional cow watching through the window. 🐄😂

Whether you're a complete beginner, getting back into music or looking to take your playing further, we still have a few spaces available across the week.

From Rock School to their FIRST EVER GIG! 🔥

The Bandits first came together at our Groove Rock School earlier this year, and at Clubfest, they took to the stage for their very first live performance as a band.

And what a first gig. 👏

This is exactly why we love doing what we do at Groove. Lessons are great, but getting young musicians playing together, forming bands, building confidence, and experiencing what it's actually like to perform live is what really brings it all to life.

We have a feeling this won't be the last time you see The Bandits on a stage… 👀🤘

🎉 GROOVE IS 1 TODAY! 🎉

Somehow, exactly one year ago today, we opened the doors to Groove Studio for the very first time.

A year later, we're kicking off another new term, the team are back, the lessons are back, and, apparently, even the cows knew they needed to turn up for the occasion 🐄😂

It's been a pretty mad first year. We've grown the studio, added a second teaching room, worked with some brilliant students, schools, bands and artists, put on Rock Schools, supported live events and made an unbelievable amount of noise along the way.

Massive thank you to everyone who's walked through the doors, supported us, recommended us, or been part of Groove over the last 12 months. ❤️

Year two. Let's go. 🤘🎶

🎸 Annoyingly, he’s actually quite good.

Toby doing what Toby does best… making everything look considerably easier than it actually is.

He’s been with Groove from the beginning and has somehow managed to get himself completely booked up, which means we're now looking at adding another day of Toby to the week.

Until then, enjoy 30 seconds of him showing off while the rest of us pretend we could do that if we really wanted to.

And yes, Toby, we know. You're very clever. Put the guitar down.

This Sunday, Groove’s very own Samuel Butler is swapping the studio for the stage and heading just down the road to The Fox Inn, Hermitage for an afternoon of live music!

🎶 WE’VE BEEN A LITTLE QUIET ON HERE LATELY… BUT DEFINITELY NOT AT THE STUDIO! 👀

It’s been a busy few weeks behind the scenes at Groove.

We’ve been using the summer break to finally tick off some of those jobs that have been sitting on the list for far too long! The reception area is nearly there, the kitchen has had a freshen up, and we’ve been getting the studios ready to welcome everyone back.

And somehow… lessons start back in just TWO WEEKS! 🤯🎸

September is always a brilliant time to start something new, so we’re opening up our diary for FREE TRIAL LESSONS for anyone who fancies giving music a go.
