Following some competitive bidding at the Parents Association Summer Party, a band of Weston Green students took to the famed Twickenham rugby pitch as part of the Allianz Future Stars Takeover.

Not only was it a fun day out for all the family, but the students were treated to specialist coaching from a variety of rugby stars such as Dan Biggar, Danny Care, Shaunagh Brown, Jasmine Joyce and Sarah Bern, as well as training sessions from The Rugby Trainer and a behind-the-scenes tour of the changing rooms and tunnel.

🙏 A huge thanks goes to Mike Thomas at Allianz for donating the prize and making a Twickenham dream come true.

🗞Year 6 Make Headlines!🗞

🎭 One of the many highlights of the Summer Term was our Upper Prep Production.

📰 This year, the children tackled the junior version of hit Broadway musical Newsies, and they truly rose to the challenge, delivering a professional and memorable performance.

As always, our staff pulled out all the stops to ensure the production was a roaring success. Thanks go to them, our parents and, of course, the wonderful children!

🦘A "long jump" to Birmingham!🦘

Following his success in the long jump at the ISA Regional Athletics Competition, Dougie went on to represent London South at the ISA National meet in Birmingham on the 15th May. Finishing 6th in the country, he was up against some very tall and bouncy competition, but did us proud and has set himself some new targets for a PB next year. Great job, Dougie - and what a great experience!

What a week that was!

🌞The Year 6 Residential is a highlight for all Weston Green pupils, as they mark the end of their prep school journey with an action-packed week in Somerset.

🚣With the weather on their side, this year's gang took full advantage of their coastal location and enjoyed raft building, cliff jumping and body-boarding.

🏖Plenty of time on the beach, playing games on the grass and a good amount of hiking made for a brilliant, old-fashioned antidote to day-to-day life.

🏫As they look ahead to pastures new and the formative experience of going from being one of the biggest to one of the smallest, we are sure of one thing: these young people are absolutely ready to take on the challenges and opportunities that await them at their new schools. Whilst they will certainly make new friends, they will be secure in the knowledge that they will always have friends in their Weston Green peers, teachers and the wider community.

🎪🌷Claygate Village and Flower Show🌷🎪

🎨 Lots of our pupils have been working hard to create their colourful entries for this year's Claygate Village and Flower Show.

😎 Following on from last term's theme, our children were set up beautifully to embrace the theme of COLOUR!

🌟 The children have had brilliant fun in the Art Studio brining their pieces to life.

🎪They have created some wonderful pieces and we look forward seeing them displayed as part of the exhibition this weekend.

We hope to see you there!

🥇Maths Competition Winners🥇

We were beyond proud of this group of Year 2s who put on a brilliant display of maths wizardry at the Parkside School Maths Competition last week!

This fun and engaging event was hosted by Parkside School and saw teams of pupils from Feltonfleet, Notre Dame and Hoe Bridge School compete in a series of maths challenges.

Our two teams had a fantastic time as they carefully applied all their maths knowledge to each problem, earning points for correct answers.

🏆 We are especially proud that one of our pairs emerged as overall winners!

Thank you to for putting on the competition and making us feel so welcome.

What a fantastic day Reception and Year 1 had at the London Wetland Centre! ☀️🦆

On a beautiful sunny day, the children explored wetland habitats with binoculars, visited the hide to spot wildlife, learned all about otters during a feeding session, and became nature detectives in a Minibeast Safari workshop. 🦦🔍🐞

Showing our school value of curiosity, the children asked thoughtful questions and discovered how animals are adapted to different habitats and why it is so important to care for nature. 🌿

The adventure continued along the Wild Walk trail, crossing bridges, stepping stones and balance walkways before reaching the adventure play area for some well-earned fun!

A wonderful day of learning, exploring and making memories together. 💚

😎 Little Prep Campsite 😎

⛺Our nursery children have been enjoying a full campsite and barbecue set up outside their classrooms.

🪵They arrived at school this week to find that their play area had become a busy campsite!

🍢Camping chairs, a cosy tent, campfire and kebab station were set up alongside the BBQ grill.

🏕 We love role play because it creates a safe space for children to develop emotional understanding, turn-taking, language skills, creativity, independence and so much more!

✂On Friday we officially opened our brand new outdoor play area and the children wasted no time at all in trying out all the new equipment! ✂

💜 Our Deputy Head, Mrs Hansraj, cut the official purple ribbon and declared our new play area officially open, before groups of children were allowed to explore this exciting new play area.

🧗‍♀️From the traverse wall, to the balance beams and stepping stones, there is much to challenge and entertain all our children from 2-11.

🪵This area is filled with open-ended equipment that encourages active and creative play.

🎭 The stage drew an immediate crowd and we saw dancing, twirling and singing - perhaps Year 6 will use it to rehearse their lines ahead of their upcoming production?

🙏Thanks again go to our amazing PA, who helped to make this into a reality. The new equipment compliments our existing outdoor spaces brilliantly and offers a really excellent array of activities for all our pupils to enjoy for years to come.
