Are there any parents or teens out there that could help for an hour on the egg throwing stall on Saturday at Thame Carnival ?

Still lots of coconuts to be won. 🌴 🌴 🌴
I've left for lunch, but do go and say hi to Karen & Karen and see if you can win one.
I currently support Haddenham Community Infant School through Vale Lottery. I am not aware of anything similar currently running in the Thame catchment but it does look like Oxford City Council are looking at rolling out a similar scheme early in 2018 ... worth keeping an eye out for ... it's a really easy way of supporting your school and the chances of winning something are very real!

Dear Stamper

We hope you enjoyed a Stamptastic summer and your transition into the new school year has been pain free.

Did you know that we are a registered supplier with PTAUK (the UK’s leading PTA membership organisation) and work with Parent Teacher Associations (PTAs) to help them raise funds?

We support thousands of PTAs and in 2016 we gave away more than Β£15,000 of vouchers!

We provide PTAs with a unique code and every order placed with that code generates 20-30% commission. Plus every PTA that registers with us also receives a FREE Β£22 fundraising voucher which comes in handy for the Christmas Fair raffle!

We have over 15 years of PTA volunteer experience between us and as a result have made our PTA cashback scheme as simple and hassle free as possible.

All orders are placed directly on our website by the customer and we post the orders out straight to them. You don't have to distribute orders or collect cash. Just book bag stuff our leaflets with your unique code and spread the Stamptastic love! Simples!

This year we are making our cashback scheme even more exciting! Those PTAs who have placed more than 11 orders (or 8 if you are on the 30% tariff) will be entered into a prize draw and in February we will choose one PTA to win a Β£500 Stamptastic voucher!

To register please click here and fill in the form at the bottom of the page.

If you have any questions please feel free to get in touch.

Best wishes

Emma & Francesca xx

support further faculty requests in September 2022

LWPA supporter and quiz master Sue Boyle will be retiring. Please see information below from Sue.....

It’s official! After almost 30 years at Barley Hill, I am retiring at the end of this term. It has been a privilege to be involved with this wonderful school for so long and I have many happy memories.

On Saturday 16th July, I am hosting an End of Year Drop-In at the Thame Cricket Club between 4pm and 7pm and it would be lovely if lots of past pupils and their parents, and former colleagues could call in to say
hello (not goodbye - we’re staying in Thame).

There will be lots of old photos and school memorabilia to look at. I’m making a new collection of photos which I’ve called All Grown Up; pictures of me with past pupils and I’d love to add to it!

I hope you will be able to join me to share stories and memories from Barley Hill across the years and to help me celebrate my retirement. If you can let me know you’re coming, that would be great or do just come along on the day.

Looking forward to seeing lots of β€˜old’ faces from Class SB, Bumblebees, Hedgehogs, Foundation Stage and more!

Love from Mrs Boyle xx

Eco-Fete Friday 17th June

The Lower School Eco Club have organised an Eco-Fete for Friday, 17th June. This will involve:

- a cake sale
- a clothes swap/sale
- a plant sale
- some games

Most items will be 50p. Please remind your child to bring some cash to school on the day if they want to enjoy the Eco-Fete.

If your child has clothes they would like to swap they should bring them to the library any day next week. We will offer a β€˜token’ for the item which they can then exchange for an item of clothing at the Fete. (Donated clothes must be clean and not too tired.)

LWPA Silent Auction – Summer 2022

****Deadline for donation: Friday 10th June*******

Can you or someone you know offer a service or an item that others would bid for?

It could be a:

Local florist delivery of flowers

White water rafting experience

Pair of tickets to a local event

A break away in a holiday home

Then the LWPA needs you!

Following the success of our first Silent Auction last year we have decided to organise another for 2022 (Sssshh – don’t tell anyone!) Only joking, of course we would like as many people as possible to know about the silent auction. To make this work we are requesting offers of services or items that other people would want to bid for. We will list all the items and people will then be able to place bids, with the money raised going directly to support the students at Lord Williams’s School.

If you, or someone you know could offer anything that we could add to the Silent Auction, please send an e-mail to [email protected] by Friday 10th June with the following information:

Your name

Your contact details – email address and phone number

Details of what you would like to donate to the Silent Auction

The Silent Auction will go live in mid June. Further details will be sent to all parents and carers nearer to this time.

A message from Astra Recycling following the Ukraine appeal:

Good afternoon,

I just wanted to drop you an email to say thank you to all the staff, pupils, parents, carers, and the public that donated to our campaign.

Last week we sent 15 tons of aid to Ukraine. The outpouring of love and generosity from all communities has been overwhelming. What has been particularly touching are the notes sending love and best wishes from people and children written with the donations.

Everyone has been so kind and Dmitry, his family and everyone here at Astra send our sincere thanks to you all,

Please see attached what the warehouse looks like at the moment! Really amazing the amount that has been donated, looks like we are on track to send similar amount next week!

Thanks again,
