Spring is in the air….. maybe only for a few days! We are enjoying making spring flowers this week 🌸 🌼🌺 😊

The sun is shining this week 🎉😊 ☀️ 🙏🏽 we have the ice cream parlour open for business 🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦

This week we are doing space…. Learning about the planets 🪐 🌎 and making rocket pictures and we made one giant rocket 🚀 🚀🚀🚀🚀

Some of our lovely fancy dress costumes for world book Day….. we had lots of fun playing who we dressed up as and reading lots of fantastic book 📚 🌎 😊

All the children had a super fun busy morning with Rob…. Sorting the colours out
and kicking rugby ball 🏉 😊

Unfortunately due to the weather warnings and a lack of staff from local schools being closed we have made the difficult decision to close Treehouse Preschool for the day.

We hope you all stay safe and wish our families a wonderful half term break - we will reopen on Monday 28th February.

We have been feeling the LOVE this week, lots of heart ❤️ ♥️💙💜💛💚🧡 sticking and making a little puzzle with our fingers counting to 5 😊

The children have been busy this week putting different shapes and textures on snakes 🐍 with lots of glue…. 😊

Today the children got to try some Arabic biscuits, one of our lovely parent had made and got to try on some traditional Arabic headwear on!

We have had a great week trying different food from all over the world 🌎

Happy Chinese New Year….. We Celebrated today by setting up a Chinese restaurant and cooking delicious noodles and for snack we had prawn toast and vegetable spring rolls 😋😋

We have had a fun busy week already and it’s only Wednesday 🥳 lots of mask making and Den building 😍😊

We have a new course running at our Thame Family Centre. 'Let's Talk Mental Health' is a free course for Parents and Carers starting soon designed to help you understand and manage yours and your child's mental health. Please call or email us for more info.

We are continuing the topic Around the World, and this week we will be looking closer at Brazil and learning about the Carnival en Rio de Janeiro.

We will also be decorating their own colourful Carnival masks using various materials which they will be able to bring home. 😊

Hopefully all children have come home with information packs now….. last week we are learning about the topic "Dentists" as recently there has been a big national effort in Early Years to educate young children and their families!

Did you know...
..Nearly a quarter of 5 years olds in England have tooth decay, with 3 or 4 teeth affected on average.
..Tooth extraction is one of the most common procedures for children under 6 in hospital
.. Painful or infected teeth can lead to problems with eating, sleeping, socialising and learning.

Top ways to prevent tooth decay
1) Reduce consumption of foods and drinks that contain sugars
2) Brush teeth twice daily
3) Take your child to the dentist when their first tooth comes through.

We will be running our popular HENRY course again, starting 26th January. HENRY are passionate about babies and children getting the best possible start in life. This course will help support the whole family to make positive lifestyle changes, creating healthier and happier home environments.

Great to see some of our little people back today! 🥰 we have been booking holidays in our little travel agents, the children were enjoying looking in the travel books and places on the maps! We will also be sending home some oral health packages, with a toothbrush and toothpaste and some information and games to do when brushing teeth 🦷 🪥 😊

It’s been a crazy at Treehouse HQ recently but we are ready for the last few weeks…. Christmas has hit us and we love it! Christmas jumpers at the ready….🎄🤶🎅⛄️

Exploring doctors, nurses and paramedics. The children have been creating ambulances using a variety of shapes with glue! 🚑 ✂️ 📄

Lily and I have had a busy weekend doing our Forest school first-aid! We also got to visit a Forest school site in a school, it was lovely seeing different things the children had made! We can’t wait to do more things with our little ones at pre school 🥰
