Our new term starts 1st September and we are excited to welcome everyone back for the new academic year.

We are enrolling now and it is not too late to book your child's free trial for September.

After 15 incredible years of building and growing Amy Bastin Dance, Miss Bastin took some incredibly important time out from the day-to-day running of the school to invest in the future of our school.

I had a wonderful first experience at the Dance Business Conference — two days of reflecting, learning and taking time to really focus on the foundations of our dance school.

I met some fantastic people, and it was wonderful to be in a room full of like-minded individuals.
I have come away feeling inspired, with ideas to help our school stay strong and continue evolving in our ever-changing world. I’m ready to be brave and embrace the world of AI (something we know we can’t escape!) and explore the positives it can bring, whilst recognising that the importance of offering social and in-person activities is more important than ever.

Many students and families have always said that our dance school community feels like family. I have come away with a deeper understanding of how our dance world is an incredible place to build connections whilst learning a beautiful art form.

The word ‘business’, as someone with a love for teaching first and foremost, can feel scary at times and is something I often want to shy away from. But actually, all of those many hidden tasks, build strong foundations for a happy, thriving school. They enable us to continue offering a fun, nurturing environment and providing the best possible opportunities for our students.

In a lovely conversation with one of our long-standing parents just after the conference, she said something that really resonated with me:
‘Stay curious and always be open to learning.’
Thank you to all of our incredible families who do exactly this with us and who continue to support us through every step of our journey.

I learnt the importance of staying authentic, remaining true to our values and focusing on what is right for us here at AB Dance. I am excited to start putting the lessons I have learnt into practice and to see our school and students flourish through our shared passion for dance. ❤️

Due to a small number of our dancers moving up, limited spaces are now available in our popular saturday morning Tiny and Mini dance classes for September start.

Our Tiny and Mini classes designed for ages 2 1/2 upwards to start their dance journey focus on building friendship, getting moving and improving confidence all whilst having lots of fun.

We can't believe it has already been a week since we did our performances at the end of our summer school.

This year our theme was Dance Vacation. It is safe to say we had the most incredible week filled with fun, laughter and smiles. Our last few days included our summer party, making our set and rehearsing everything the children had learned a nd created throughout the week. It was wonderful to see the students so excited and proud to perform their work at the end of the week.
A huge thank you to the all of the family members and friends who came along last friday to share in the joy of dance.

Ending the summer term with the best moments. Riding on the high of last weekend's Presentations and Awards, we have had a wonderful final week to end the summer term. Celebrating and enjoying everything so special about our community.
