The Wild Bloom Yoga

The Wild Bloom Yoga Vinyasa flow yoga classes for all levels in and around Gloucestershire. I started practising yoga well over 15 years ago. I hope to meet you on the mat.

For me, as for many, it started as a physical practice that allowed me to build my flexibility and challenge myself in some of the deeper holds and balances. I dipped in and out of my yoga practice through studies, travels, career moves, house moves, love, loss... all that life can throw at you. And through all of it yoga remained, and still remains, my constant. In 2016 I decided that I wanted to

take my practice deeper and I have since completed the British Wheel of Yoga’s Foundation Diploma and become a Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance. I love that I am still learning every time I come to the mat. I love that yoga has helped me to grow stronger and more resilient both physically and emotionally. And most of all, I love that I am now able to share that with others through my classes. I truly believe that absolutely anyone can practise yoga. All you need is the intention to start and from there, everyone has the chance to bloom. Christine x

So honoured to have attended this workshop yesterday and to learn from a teacher who speaks with such love, wisdom and compassion for all nature.

I would encourage anyone who can to carve out some time in the next few days, to sit quietly, to breathe fully, and to think about their intentions for the year ahead.

Love, joy, peace, health, friendship, gratitude and laughter… but above all I am moving in to 2026 with hope in my heart 💕☀️✨🌻

There is beauty in repetition.

We are often led to believe that we need the new, the different, the ‘better’, but actually there is beauty in coming back to the same practice again and again.

I have been running this same route for 6 months, and much like the principles of ashtanga yoga or the key pillar of sun salutations in a vinyasa practice or always returning to the home base of downward facing dog, the familiarity of the route helps me notice different things. Not just external things like the light or the rain or the new bumps in the path, but my own internal levels of energy, my mood, and my incremental progress. Sometimes pushing with effort, sometimes flowing with ease.

But never easy, just different.

…. P.S. Santa if you’re reading… it may be time for some new running shoes 😆

Morning run up the hill ☀️🫶🏻
No selfie as I was dripping even at this time in the day, but so rewarding to get to the top and feel the freshness in the air before the real heat kicks in.
And I realise… I am one of those confusing people that says good morning to everyone I pass… you can take the girl out of the country but you can’t take the country out of the girl ❣️

I am delighted to be part of Mental Health Awareness Week at The Nook Yoga.

I don’t know where I would be without my regular yoga practice. Yoga teaches me so many things. It teaches me to sit with my emotions and face what comes up with humility and grace, it teaches me to respect my body and all that it does and can do for me, and it teaches me to always come home to my breath when things get tough. It teaches me that I am enough, and that I have within me everything I need to get through this life with all its ups and downs, times of effort and times of ease, light and dark.

I am so thankful to have this beautiful, ancient practice in my life and I am even more grateful to be able to share its many benefits through my weekly classes.

🙏🏻💕☀️🧘🏼‍♀️♥️

In celebration of this special week you can take advantage of 10% of all class passes this week, plus an extra month of validity to make self-care more accessible.

Mental Health Awareness Week at The Nook Studios runs from 12th to 18th May and it’s all about prioritizing well-being—mind, body, and community. This year’s theme, ‘Community’, reminds us that we thrive when we support each other, and The Nook Studios is the perfect place to start.

As our lives and our ways of living become more and more removed from nature, it's so important to reconnect with the world and acknowledge the turning of the seasons. So this term we'll be celebrating the abundant growth and renewal of Spring with a focus on energising and uplifting twists, backbends and standing poses. Come and join me as we continue to reawaken our bodies, welcome change in our minds, and soak up the energy of the light.

Get in touch to book, and I hope to see you on the mat my Yogi friends 🌟☀️❤️

Today is the Winter Solstice. Rather than looking at it pessimistically as the shortest day of the year, a day of darkness, if we change our perspective it’s actually a day that symbolises change; a turning point marking the return of light. Across the world, most cultures see this day as a symbol of rebirth since from this day forward we will be observing more sunlight and less darkness.

On Sunday we will mark this turning point with special practice dedicated to the Solstice, taking time to listen to the energies flowing in our bodies and reflecting on what the year has held for us so far. How has your practice changed on the mat? What changes in your life have influenced or perhaps been influenced by your practice? Its not quite time for New Year’s resolutions, but perhaps it’s time to start to consider what new intentions you’d like to set for the year ahead and begin working on those.

The symbolism is so clear. If you set an intention on the Winter Solstice, every day after that, just as the daylight becomes stronger, your intention will also grow as you move closer and closer towards your goal. Give it a try❣️

Yoga reminds us that when our foundations are steady, we can move through life with grace and ease.

By nurturing our inner strength - through mindfulness, breath and self-love - we create roots that keep us steady in the storms of life. When we are grounded, blooming becomes effortless: natural, vibrant and aligned to who we truly are. Because when we are rooted, we rise.

So much thanks and gratitude for having this beautiful practice in my life, for life 🙏🏻

Yoga for cosy evenings and wellbeing this autumn & winter Nook Yoga 🍁❄️🕯️🍁

As the days grow short and the nights draw in we are turning our attention to our wellbeing. A regular yoga practice is such an important way to prioritise wellbeing and make time and space to process all the demands of our daily lives. So, over the next four weeks we will be exploring ways to soothe the body and mind through stillness and rest, and ways to stimulate positive thoughts and energy through movement.

Classes with this focus will run for four Mondays, 7-8pm, from 21 October to 11 November including one Sunday Slow Flow class on Sunday 10 November. The attached image outlines the full programme.

You can join me for an individual class at any time, or book all 5 sessions in a block via a class pass. Studio bookings are available here: https://www.thenookstudios.co.uk/booking-calendar/vinyasa-flow-yoga?category=233dd54a-15b7-40e1-8ac5-dd656f88e2d1&page=&referral=service_list_widget. Zoom bookings are now direct to me rather than via the Nook, so please just email me if you would like to book in.

I look forward to seeing you on the mat 🙏🏻
