It made my day to get this message from a former student yesterday. And I think they played down the small win. I’d say this is a pretty big win actually and all credit to their hard work.

I just wanted to say thank you for helping me with my dyslexia when you did!
I’ve read 15 books this year already and I have grown to love reading ….. I use the techniques to help me get to this point with reading and retain and understanding what I am actually reading!
A small win but I just wanted to say thank you!

Annual Safeguarding training completed today, ahead of the new academic year.

Looking forward (with my team) to resuming tutoring w/c 7th September.

In the meanwhile, wishing everyone a happy bank holiday weekend and a good return to school.

Our Bank Holiday Weekend Baby and Toddler Event is now live on the website.
Reading to babies and toddlers is the best start in life but we know money is tight for everyone so we have selected 100 books and educational games for you to choose from, all from as little as one pound.
These are all brand new and you can buy as many copies as you like.
Great for your own child's home library, party bags, a nursery, childminder or for your own gift shop.

Had a wonderful holiday tutoring session with a pupil this morning, following his lead and looking at dyslexia and family trees.

Having looked at this family tree in the fabulous Dyslexia Explained book by Nessy my pupil then drew his own, choosing to do it the other way round, with the oldest people starting as the family/tree roots and working up (with more room for more branches to grow as the family grows in the future). Such a special and inspiring session.

Not every young person needs to follow the same path after GCSEs.

Our latest blog explores Functional Skills qualifications, why so many parents only hear about them after GCSE disappointment, and why families deserve better information about all the options available.
