Westonbirt are celebrating another impressive set of results today as our Year 11 pupils collected their GCSE results, with just under 40% of all grades achieved at 9-7 and one in five grades awarded at 8 or 9. 🌟

We are incredibly proud of the whole cohort and the months of commitment and dedication behind these results, supported by our wonderful teachers every step of the way.

Among many strong individual performances, Holly achieved an exceptional ten grade 9s, while Tom achieved eight grade 9s alongside two grade 8s. Both will continue their Westonbirt journey into Sixth Form, with Holly taking Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry, and Tom studying Physics, Politics, Maths and Further Maths.

There were also outstanding performances across individual subjects, with more than three quarters of grades in Biology, Physics and Further Mathematics achieving 9-7.

A huge congratulations to every member of our Year 11 cohort. We can’t wait to see where the next chapter takes you! 🎓✨

Last weekend, Westonbirt was proud to welcome England Lacrosse to our school for the South West Aspire training programme, bringing together some of the region’s most promising young lacrosse players for a day of high-level training and development.

We were especially delighted to see so many of our own Westonbirt lacrosse players taking part, putting their skills to the test and learning alongside talented athletes from across the region.

The England Lacrosse Aspire programme supports young athletes on their journey towards the national pathway, developing technical ability, tactical understanding, physical performance and resilience. We were thrilled to be part of a day that gave our players the opportunity to learn, compete and challenge themselves alongside some of the region’s best young talent.

Our Upper Sixth are heading off to destinations far and wide, with an incredible range of opportunities ahead. ✈️

70% have chosen Russell Group universities, while others are taking degree apprenticeships with leading companies such as Deloitte, heading overseas to study at prestigious specialist institutions, or gaining valuable experience through years in industry.

Destinations span the globe, including Pratt Institute in New York and EHL in Switzerland, as our pupils pursue their passions and explore new opportunities.

Good luck, Class of 2026. We’re so excited to see what adventures await! ✨

Westonbirt pupils are celebrating the best set of upper-sixth results in recent years, with over 50% of grades awarded A*-A or equivalent, and three quarters at grade B and above.

Across six A Level subjects, including Further Maths, Art, French and German, every grade awarded was an A or A*. Our vocational courses also achieved an outstanding full set of top marks across BTEC Sport, Performing Arts and Business.

This bumper set of results puts in train a broad range of exciting futures for our leavers in the UK and abroad. They have secured places on competitive courses at Russell Group universities including Exeter, Nottingham, Bristol and Birmingham as well as specialist institutions such as EHL Business School in Lausanne, Italia Conti Performing Arts Academy and Pratt Institute School of Architecture in New York. Other students have opted for prestigious degree apprenticeships, including at Deloitte.

A huge congratulations to our Upper Sixth. We couldn’t be prouder of everything you have achieved, and we can’t wait to see where your next chapter takes you! 💫

A day to remember at Wimbledon! 🎾 Congratulations to Westonbirt pupil Jude, who recently competed in the National U18 Road to Wimbledon Doubles Competition alongside his partner.

The pair played two closely contested matches, showing fantastic determination throughout. Although they didn’t progress to the knockout stages, reaching Wimbledon itself is an outstanding achievement and an experience they’ll never forget.

Reflecting on the day, Jude shared how inspiring it was to play on the same courts, use the same changing rooms and relax in the players’ lounges as the tennis stars he watches on television.

Congratulations to our Graduate Lacrosse Assistant, Vittoria Muccilli, on an outstanding achievement at the World Lacrosse Division 2 World Championships! 🥇

Representing Team Italy, Vittoria helped her side to an incredible gold medal victory. After losing just one match in the pool stages to Mexico (9-6), Italy defeated New Zealand in the semi-finals before facing Mexico once again in the final, winning 11-4 to be crowned Division 2 World Champions.

Having role models with experience at the very highest level of sport is something our pupils benefit from every day, and we know they will be inspired by your success. Congratulations, Vittoria! 🏆

CCF doesn’t stop for the summer holidays! ✈️

Last week, our cadets took to the skies, flying the Grob Tutor, the RAF’s initial flight training aircraft. It was an unforgettable experience and a fantastic opportunity to develop confidence and leadership skills beyond the classroom! 💪
