Happy Christmas Eve, Eve! 🎅
Here is your tiggerific Team of 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣5️⃣, what a year it has been!
Our personal highlight has been celebrating 2️⃣5️⃣ years of Tigger’s. Our special celebrations brought so much joy to the children, and it was wonderful to chat with so many families, past and present, about their experiences at Tigger’s over the years. We also loved welcoming back some of our previous team members, a truly special moment for us all.
This year we also welcomed our newest nursery pets: our beautiful Indian Runner ducks. We initially brought home a flock of eight two-week-old ducklings, who were immediately adored by everyone. As they grew and we were able to identify their genders, we discovered a dominance of boys, with only three girls. Sadly, this ratio wasn’t conducive to a happy flock, so we made the difficult decision to rehome some of our boys, as they were fighting over the girls. Daffy, Dee Dee, Dusty and Duffy remain with us, and it has been a joy to watch them grow into their beautiful colours and develop their strong bonds with one another, they are certainly pack animals! 🦆
In 2025, we were also proud to successfully achieve our Eco-Schools Green Flag Award once again. This reflects our ongoing commitment to caring for our planet for future generations. We truly believe that educating young children about sustainability. From recycling and turning off lights to growing their own food (something we love doing in our allotment!) — is one of the best ways to instil lifelong positive habits. ♻️
This year also saw another cohort of children leave us for school. While this milestone comes around each year, it’s always an emotional time for everyone involved. This year’s graduation celebrations were nothing short of fantastic. The children’s dances were a joy to behold, and it has been wonderful to hear from reception teachers how well the Class of 2025 have settled into school life. 🎓
In 2025, we became the flagship (and now only) Tigger’s nursery, following the sale of our sister site in Cirencester. While it marked the end of an era, we are proud to move forward as the one and only Tigger’s as we head into 2026. Being a standalone nursery gives us more time and focus to develop Tigger’s to be better than ever. We’ve already begun this journey by opening new classrooms and expanding our tiggerific team, with some exciting plans in the works for 2026. Watch this space! 🐯
Throughout the year, we have continued our special relationship with our neighbours at Upton Mill Care Home. Regular visits to share stories, songs and celebrations are a highlight for staff, children and residents alike. Our recent gift tree was a truly magical occasion, we’ve heard the residents haven’t stopped talking about the children bringing them a special Christmas gift. Thank you to everyone who generously supported this by purchasing a gift for one of our special neighbours. 🎁
As has been the case in recent years, 2025 has brought increasing pressure on the early years sector, from underfunded rates and changing Ofsted goalposts to a staffing crisis at an all-time high. We are incredibly fortunate to have such a dedicated, passionate and enthusiastic team at Tigger’s. Without them, none of our achievements would be possible. Please join us in showing appreciation for our early years superheroes. 🦸♀️🦸♂️
Thank you also to each and every one of you for your continued support. We know how challenging parenting can be in 2025, juggling work, family time and life’s many demands. Every kind word, donation of toys or spare clothing, and attendance at nursery events truly means the world to us.
It is an honour and privilege to care for your precious children each day, and we look forward to sharing many more milestones together in the year ahead. 🫶
