As they begin the new school year, Year 5 have been taking a moment to think about who they are right now – and what might change by the end of the year.

The children have been busy writing letters to their future selves, including listing their hobbies and interests and taking measurements to see how much they grow. ✏️💭

The letters will be safely tucked away, ready to be opened next summer. We wonder how much will have changed!

It’s a lovely opportunity to reflect on growth in all its forms – not just how much we grow physically, but how much we learn, change and develop throughout the year. 🌱✨

And just like that… we’re back! 🎒✨

What a wonderful first day back at Westonbirt Prep! It has been fantastic to welcome our children back through the gates and see the school filled with smiling faces, excited chatter and plenty of energy. 🌟

A very warm welcome to all our returning families, and a special welcome to those joining our school community for the first time. We’re so excited for the year ahead and all the adventures, achievements and memories still to come! 📚

School hasn’t quite felt the same over the past eight weeks. Our classrooms and corridors have been quieter, our grounds a little less busy, and we’ve certainly missed the wonderful energy that comes from having our pupils here. ✨

But not for much longer!

We can’t wait to hear the brilliant buzz of conversation, laughter and learning filling our fantastic spaces once again. From exciting new beginnings to familiar faces and old friendships, there’s so much to look forward to.

We hope our whole school community has enjoyed a wonderful summer, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back next week for another exciting year together. 🌿📚💛

To aid their transition to school, pre-school children at Westonbirt Nursery have exciting opportunities to spend time with the Reception teachers at Westonbirt Prep over the Summer Term, helping make the step up feel familiar, exciting and natural. 🏫

From exploring their new classrooms and joining in with activities to meeting their future teachers, these experiences build confidence, independence and a sense of belonging before their first day. 🏫

It’s all part of helping every child take their next step with confidence.

Many of our pre-school children will step up to Reception with us next week, and we can’t wait to welcome them! 🌟

It’s hard to believe that our new buildings have been open for a whole term! 🏫

From a spectacular Grand Opening Party to exciting lessons, creative projects and everyday moments of school life, our new spaces quickly became the heart of our school community. 💛

More than simply beautiful new spaces, these buildings represent our commitment to providing an inspiring environment for our pupils and investing in the future of our school and its families. 🌱📚

We’ve loved seeing the buildings come to life with learning, laughter and friendship – and we’re already looking forward to hearing that familiar buzz fill the spaces again when we return in September.
