Today was our last full day at Westonbirt Summer School 😢

What an incredible four weeks it’s been! We’ve loved welcoming so many new students while catching up with familiar faces returning for another unforgettable summer!

Adventure challenge took on Puzzlewood 🪵🌳

Today we put our learning into practice by exploring the incredible Puzzlewood. Using skills developed in lessons, including map reading and wildlife identification, we applied our knowledge in a real-life environment 🧭📍

Located in the Forest of Dean, Puzzlewood is a magical ancient woodland, famous for its winding paths, moss-covered rocks, and as a filming location for movies including Star Wars!

A fantastic day of adventure and outdoor learning! 🌿✨

No two days are the same at Westonbirt Summer School! 🏫☀️

Every day is packed with opportunities to learn, grow, and have fun!

Mornings are filled with a variety of engaging lessons, from first aid training to AI workshops, giving students the chance to develop valuable skills they’ll take with them long after summer school ends🩺📘

Each week, our Integration Challenge encourages students to work together, think creatively, and bring their ideas to life through exciting team projects 🏅

The day finishes with our academies and evening activities, where students can get involved in everything from sports, arts, and social events, ensuring every day is the perfect balance of learning, fun, and unforgettable memories ⚽️🕺

Three weeks into Summer School, and what a time it has been so far✨☀️

From exciting lessons and academies to unforgettable trips, it’s been an incredible week full of memories and friendships!

Speaking to some of the students, their favourite memories from this week have been Aqua Adventure and the Dragons’ Den integration lessons 🤿📈

As we head into our final week, we can’t wait to make it the best one yet!

“This is my third year at Westonbirt Summer School and I keep coming back due to all the great activities, the new friends I meet and the house parents. This week I have been flying and was taught by patient instructors and had lots of time in the plane. I would recommend Westonbirt Summer School to everyone!”

Meet Mark, who has joined us for the full four weeks from Russia! He has joined us the past three years and this year picked flying as one of his academies where he has been learning to fly a propeller plane ✈️

One of the most popular activities every single summer is the Horse Riding Academy! 🐎

A firm favourite with our students, Horse Riding Academy gives them the chance to build confidence, develop new skills, and experience the excitement of riding ✨

Hosted at the incredible Talland School of Equitation, home to some of the world’s leading instructors, our students receive expert guidance while making unforgettable summer memories!

From first-time riders to those with previous experience, every session is packed with learning and plenty of time in the saddle. 🐴☀️

We can’t wait to see what this week’s riders get up to!

English went to Cotswolds Wildlife Park and Gardens for their academic trip this week! 🦒🦓🦍

Students had lessons prior to visiting that were linked to animals and wildlife making English lessons fun and engaging! 📚🦁

It was a lovely day seeing all the animals and a fun way to break up the learning. Here at Westonbirt Summer School, students get to go on 3 trips a week!
