MD School of Performing Arts

MD School of Performing Arts Does your child dance and sing around the house? Let their talent thrive at Telford-based MD School

MD School of Performing Arts was launched by Debbie Ashford 15 years ago in Telford. The school gives children the very best training in dance, drama and singing, with a focus on technique as well as enjoyment. The dance syllabi taught are I.S.T.D and RAD and as well as teaching the staple disciplines such as ballet, tap and modern, students can also take classes in Street and Contemporary. All of our staff are trained to the highest of standards and all hold enhanced DBS. Debbie's ethos ensures pastoral care is at the forefront of everything the school does. Children and parents feel like they are a member of one big family. We are now recruiting so drop us an email at [email protected]

Every dancer on that stage made us proud. Some of you stepped out for the very first time, others brought your experience and leadership — and together you were incredible. The teamwork, the support, the way you lifted each other… it was everything 💫 You were radiant on stage and an absolute joy to watch. We are so grateful to our amazing MDA parents for their continued support and for being such a huge part of this dance family. 💫❤️

Thank you SSPA Events

🌊 From Age 3 to the Sea 🌊

We are bursting with pride for our girl Cassidy, who at just 18 has secured her very first professional dance contract with Royal Caribbean’s Utopia of the Seas — starting April 2026 🤩⚓️✨

Cassidy began her dance journey in MD’s Baby Ballet class at just three years old 🩰. I’ve had the privilege of training her ever since, and watching her grow into the beautiful dancer — and person — she is today has been one of my greatest joys 💖.

From the very beginning, Cassidy followed her training pathway with dedication and integrity. She took every exam in order in both RAD and ISTD examination boards and never skipped a grade. Cassidy committed herself wholeheartedly to her training at MD. She was, on many occasions, an All England Dance finalist, and her discipline, loyalty, and work ethic have shaped her into the artist she is now 🌟.

Cassidy secured a Trinity Dance Diploma scholarship at The Hammond in Chester, leaving home at just 16 to continue her training. She is now in her final graduate year — all while remaining very much a part of the MD family ❤️.

Her journey is a true inspiration — a reminder that when you follow your passion, trust the process, and stay committed to your dreams, incredible things happen ✨. Cassidy is living proof that hard work, consistency, and heart can take you anywhere.

We cannot wait for her to begin this exciting new chapter and step confidently into her professional career 🌟

Forever proud of you, Cassidy.
With love,
Miss Debbie and your MD family ❤️💫
