Last week was a heartbreaking one for everyone at Bai Lang, as we learned of the passing of our 16-year-old member, Cashara.
Cashara was a smiley, polite and beautiful soul who brought so much positivity to her close friends in class every week. She was a young lady who loved kickboxing, always brought a smile into the gym, and was an absolute pleasure to teach and have as part of our club.
As a club and a community, we want to stand together in Cashara’s memory and help spread a message that is so important: it costs nothing to be kind, to look out for one another and to check in on the people around you.
Young people can struggle with their mental health just as adults can, and sometimes those struggles are not visible from the outside. We want to do whatever we can to encourage kindness, conversation and support within our community.
We will be working closely with Cashara’s family to help keep her memory alive and to create positive events, opportunities and initiatives in her name, using the activity of kickboxing that she loved so much.
As one small way of remembering Cashara, we will also be creating a special tribute T-shirt for our club community, with 100% of the profits donated to Little Stars charity in her memory. We will share more details about this separately.
There will also be further events and fundraising in Cashara’s memory, which we will share when the time is right.
Cashara will be dearly, dearly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Her smile, her kindness and the memories she created with those around her will continue to shine brightly.
Be kind. Look out for each other. You never truly know what someone else may be going through.
Forever part of the Bai Lang family. ❤️
