I live in a 3 storey house with rooms specifically dedicated for the purpose of child minding. This includes a nursery room downstairs and a games/computer room in the middle floor (see my photos). I offer services from 7am-7pm Monday-Saturday and work during term times and school holidays.

Happy Mother’s Day 💐 to all of our CCH parents.
The children have been busy this week making gifts 🎁
With Mother’s Day approaching the children used loose parts to make their mums today. We used the children’s 🏡 home and family photos to encourage talking about home and their families.
Constructing den’s with our new magnetic building tiles.
We love snowy days at CCH ❄️⛄️🛷
Day 2 of February holidays
We celebrated Pancake 🥞 day.
We read Mr wolfs pancakes encouraging to understand about others feelings and working as a team to make them.
The children worked as a team in groups sharing so well and helping each other. We talked about safety when using the electric mix and cooking own pancakes.
Lots of independent skills used.
The children then role played with dough and ingredients in the garden.
Day one of February half term holidays
Water💧 play to encourage maths skills and language.
I encourage the children to make the containers full, empty and half full.
The children used problem solving to work out how to scoop and fill different size containers. They role played making drinks, soup and food while learning to whisk and pour with control.
We tried to fill the scales to see if we could make one side heavier then the other.
Valentines 💝 2023
We read love makes a family story before making gifts to our loved ones.
We encouraged discussions about what the children’s families do to show them that they are loved like in the story.
ATTENTION!
Does your child/children receive benefit related free school meals or have SEN needs and are in reception up to year 11 ?

A little adjustment to our setting to welcome our new tiny little member into the CCH family.
The setting is always adjusted to suit every child’s needs and stages as they grow. I always make sure that all the children have equal time, play space and attention with me.
The play activities/routines are set up with the aim of achieving different learning goals and experiences for all throughout the day.
This is how childminders work and juggle different age children 😃 x
We now have 3 days available at CCH.

Keep little ones safe this weekend
Today I introduced the children to fireworks so they are prepared for the sounds and adventures they may go or see over the weekend.
We watched some fireworks on the TV so that they could see what they where and hear the sounds that they make.
I encouraged the childrens vocabulary by making sounds of the fireworks for them to copy 🎇 whizz, pop, Boom, bang and fizz.
We talked a bit about safety explaining the dangers of touching a bonfire 🔥 or fireworks 🎆
I set up some mark making areas for the children to explore. As the children used tools to make firework marks we made the sounds and named the colours. All the children had a go copying the sounds and some told me they where making fireworks and going to see some with family members.
Proud to say we have been given a hygiene rating of 5 again after our food inspection visit today 😃
I wanted to share a local business Crafty Kayleigh that I have had a few things made from. I’m a sucker for personalised things and being able to have ideas that someone can make up for me is great as I love a DIY project 😄
Such good prices, amazing quality and always packaged so nicely.

We can finally announce 📣 that we had our ofsted inspection in September and We where graded Good 😊 x x

We have so many conkers now to explore and use in different learning experiences in our setting.
More butterflies 🦋 today.
The children where asking for the butterfly song so they could flutter around.
We decided to make some wings so they could be a real butterfly.
We went on a walk to collect Autumn 🍂 leaves for the wings along with some flowers 🌸 that we already had.
The children loved running in the house and outside with them on fluttering away 🥰
We even had them on during the school run 😍🤣
Role play, language and reading 😍
Learning about butterflies 🦋 and Animals.
It’s all about the children’s interests 😃
Love using Autumn loose parts 🥰
Fun with colours.
Colour recognition, learning new words, matching, noticing changes of colours when mixed, problem solving and mark making.
This photo says it all 😍 the children have helped themselves to the resources that is available to them each day.
As you can see they are all fully engaged learning as they play.
The play is opened and lead by the children.
Two children explored cutting dough with scissors and the other child was counting stones in the kitchen.
My teachable moment was to show the two children how to hold the scissors easier to snip with and the other child I asked to join in her play by counting and challenge her to pick out different amounts from a large group.
Lovely to be back at forest school again.
Look 👀 at all the learning experience they got in one session 💕 🌳
The children have been loving the 3 little pigs so we where excited to make the pigs each a home after listening to the story.
