We had a visitor to school this week, teaching many of our children about the ‘Awareness of bees & their importance in the environment’. Our visitor felt compelled to email in the following … ‘It was lovely to have met you all yesterday and such a delight to work in a school with such wonderful, polite children and friendly staff. Thank you’.
We always feel proud to receive feedback like this 😊. Do ask your children what new knowledge they have about bees! 🐝 🐝 🐝

Teachers will be making contact about online learning soon. Look out for notifications on parent pay linked to phonics videos. Mrs Thomas is busy posting those already I believe. We also want children to enjoy the snow! ❄️ It is rare that they can sledge, make snowmen and of course create snow angels! ⛄️
After a hair raising trip from Shrewsbury to Telford and a full site risk assessment with Mr Thomas, I have to make the decision to move to online learning today. Marlborough Way and Rock Road are treacherous and not at all safe. We have already had to rescue one person! I know the forecast is set to improve, but I don’t want an open then closed situation like yesterday as that is difficult for parents to plan around. I have let you know as early as possible. Teachers will be in touch. See you on Monday. Miss Cook.
Sorry we had to shut today. I absolutely know how disruptive this can be for parents. If we could have been sure the gritter was coming and the snow was stopping, we would have risked staying open.
I am risk assessing the site and roads that approach the site at 6am tomorrow morning. The fear seems to be ice this time. I am optimistic that we will remain open all day but want to be sure, which is why I shall be there super early checking it out! Face book and the website will be updated. Thanks for your understanding.
Snow Update Unfortunately, due to the worsening conditions on the car park and the roads leading to school, we are going to have to shut early. Marlborough Way and The Rock are proving very difficult indeed with many vehicles getting stuck.

Morning! ❄️
The weather forecast is still varied depending on which site you look at. We are now making the decision to cancel all after school provision for today. This includes all Crossbar, nursery/school after school club and the Tophat drama club. All teacher led clubs are also cancelled. Parents evening appointments today will be via telephone or will be postponed. Your child’s teacher will let you know. We are still monitoring the situation carefully and will update on a regular basis. Kind regards Miss Cook.
Morning all! We are open. Please walk in if you can, as the Rock Road isn’t great. We are going to carefully monitor over time and of course update you regularly. It maybe that we have to cancel all after school provision, but that will depend on what happens as the weather forecasts are varied. Thanks.
