Midlands Taiko Day
Midlands Taiko Day is a new joint venture between Adams' Grammar School and James Barrow of Taiko West.

Midlands Taiko Day this year was massive! Quite literally. March 25th 2023 saw the biggest number of workshops we've ever run, with an expanded number of workspaces, the highest total numbers of participants, along with the longest community group sharing session we’ve done so far. After coordinating all that, no wonder I got a nosebleed just before going on stage! (Really, I'm fine, thanks for asking!)
And to top all that, not only did we have the Adams Grammar School’s Junior & Senior students groups followed by our very own Konjaku Daiko, but we were lucky to witness the most awesome show from Taiko Meantime to finish things off.
A huge thank you to Malcom Brown and the school for hosting us, to everyone who helped volunteer their time during the day, all our workshops participants from near and far, and of course to Mark, Jack and Ed from Taiko Meantime for leading the workshops and for blowing everyone away at the end of the night.
See you next year for more of the same! :-)
