Hadley Under & Over 5s Nursery and Preschool

It was a busy time down at The HU5’s Hospital last week, fixing up our Emergencey vehicle and ensuring all our patients were well cared for! 👩‍⚕️🚑

Our Practitioners, Toni & Mel recently attended training to support ‘Boisterous Play’.
Toni introduced our children to their new scooters, apparatus and superhero costumes for those times when we just need to let some of that energy go, go, go!!!🦸‍♀️🏃🏻

Eid Mubarak✨to all of our families and friends celebrating over the weekend! Zirwa & Amirah have enjoyed explaining to their friends at nursery how they have been preparing for their family celebrations and we can’t wait to hear all about it on Monday!🌙 ☪️

World Book Day 2026....We are having the best day, sharing stories and our favourite books! Our team chose ‘Supertato’ as the story to share today and our children have had great fun, pea smashing, creating their own Supertato, preparing vegetable soup and exploring pea green slime!! We have also discussed what we think makes us ‘good friends’ just like Supertato!! 🥔 🦸‍♀️

We visited the market in Hadley Centre yesterday to choose fruits and vegetables to be used in our Grocery shop role play area🥕🥦our children chose what they wanted to purchase and enjoyed counting out their money, bagging up their shopping and chatting to the lovely stall holder who very kindly helped us by explaining what unusual fruit and vegetables were and how they should be prepared and eaten.

As the term draws to a close, we would like to wish our families who celebrate a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.
We look forward to seeing everyone at the start of the spring term on Tuesday 6th January 2026.

Thank you to everyone who joined us last week at our performance of The First Nativity.
As we are in our final week of term, we thought you would like to see some of the creations we have been making, we hope you all enjoyed the mince pies and shortbread!
Christmas Jumper Day was also a success, we had great fun comparing our festive wear!!

We have enjoyed walks out and about in our community this week, we delivered our poppies to Hadley War Memorial and chatted about all the brave service people who help to keep us safe ♥️

Today our children have had a spook-tacular time enjoying some great creative activities!🎃🦇We hope everyone has a great half term and look forward to seeing you all back week commencing Monday 3rd November😁
