Deakin Music is a well-established music school based in Telford. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Piano Teacher to join our team on a self-employed basis.

As a Piano Teacher at Deakin Music, you will be responsible for providing high-quality piano lessons to students of all ages and abilities. You will have a passion for music and be committed to inspiring and nurturing the talent of your students.

Requirements:

- Previous teaching experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
- A passion for music and a desire to inspire and motivate students.
- It would be desirable for applicants to have a degree in Music or a relevant qualification in Piano Teaching.

Responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver engaging and effective piano lessons to students of all ages and abilities.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to parents/guardians.
- Prepare students for exams and performances.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress.

A big congratulations to one of our students, Lissy. We are very proud of you! Well done.

Lissy will be performing in Shrek the Musical with Willenhall Musical Theatre Company next month at the Dormston Theatre in Sedgley. She is so excited to be playing the role of Young Fiona. She has also successfully auditioned for a role in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang with Bilston Operatic Company. She will be performing at the Grand Theatre in Wolverhampton in November.

This term, our Mini Musical Theatre group have a Dr. Seuss theme. They are looking at who he was, some of his characters and Singing, Acting and Dancing some songs from ‘Seussical’ a musical based on the characters of Dr. Seuss.

Our Mini MT class is for 4-9 year olds. It’s on a Monday from 6pm - 7pm.

We are excited to announce that your independent candidate for Dawley & Aqueduct is Cllr Sam Deakin - Dawley and Aqueduct

Sam is a local lad and owner of Deakin Music on Dawley High Street and has been representing his community in his role as a community Councillor on Dawley Hamlets Parish Council.

As your independent Councillor Sam would like to focus on the protection of green spaces from over development and neglect, he wants to see parking solutions in our residential areas, especially around schools and help tackle anti social behavior so we all feel safe in our communities.

We’re delighted that we are able to hold our Christmas Concert and Carol Service this year. This will be on Saturday 10th December.

Unfortunately last years couldn’t happen due to covid uncertainty so this will be our first concert since Deakin Music started in 2020. It will be lovely to see you all there so you can see some of the wonderfully talented students from Deakin Music.

Phillip came to me today,
and said it was time to go.
I looked at him and smiled,
as i whispered that "I know”.

I then turned and looked behind me,
and seen I was asleep.
All my Family were around me,
and I could hear them weep.

I gently touched each shoulder,
with Phillip by my side.
Then I turned away and walked,
with My Angel guide.

Phillip held my hand,
as he lead the way,
to a world where King's and Queens,
are Monarch's every day.

I was given a crown to wear
or a Halo known by some.
The difference is up here,
they are worn by everyone.

I felt a sense of peace,
my reign had seen its end.
70 years I had served my Country,
as the peoples friend.

Thank you for the years,
for all your time and love.
Now I am one of two again,
in our Palace up above.
