We would love you and your child to join us to Walk to School next week on Thursday 15th October.
We will be meeting at 08:15am on the Co-op car park in Dawley Bank, next to the Wrekin Pub. School staff, parents, pupils, and of course our very own Well-being Wallace, will all be joining the walk.
It’s a lovely opportunity to come together as a community and enjoy some fresh morning air.

October Happy Healthy Active Holidays (HHAH) Bookings Now Open

This year, families can access a wide range of Happy Healthy Active Holiday Club activities taking place throughout the October half-term holiday. The programme offers children and young people opportunities to take part in fun, engaging activities while staying active and enjoying healthy food.

The HHAH programme is available to children and young people who are eligible for benefits-related Free School Meals, with a range of activities available across the borough during the holiday period.

Due to the changes to Free School Meal eligibility that came into effect in September 2026, we have secured Crisis Resilience Funding to support families affected by these changes who now fall within the expanded Free School Meals eligibility criteria. In addition, through the Crisis Resilience Funding, we can offer additional holiday club places to support families who may be experiencing financial hardship. This funding will help ensure that more children and young people can benefit from accessing enriching activities and healthy meals during the October half term.

Bookings are now open, and families can explore, register, and reserve activities by visiting the HHAH booking system:

A HUGE thank you to Barratt Homes for their wonderful donation of children’s books to Ladygrove, all focused on supporting positive mental health and wellbeing.

Our children’s happiness and wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do, and these lovely books will be a fantastic resource for helping them understand their feelings, show empathy towards others and develop the skills they need as they grow.

Dear Ladygrove Family,

We are “cereal-ously” grateful for all the generous donations we have received so far! Every box of cereal will be donated to Telford Crisis Support food bank, helping families in our local community.

On Friday 16th October, we will be creating an exciting cereal box domino display around the school. We would love to make the event as spectacular as possible, so we are asking for even more donations.

Thanks to your kindness, we have already collected 194 boxes of cereal, and our local Sainsbury’s store has generously offered to donate a further 50 boxes.


We are also delighted to welcome some special visitors on the day, including representatives from Telford Crisis Support and the Sainsbury’s Community Champion.


The more unopened cereal boxes we collect, the bigger and more exciting our domino display will be. Please send any donations into school by 9th October. Every box will make a difference!
