A polite reminder that if you are notified to self isolate by tack and trace that you do this for the 10 days.
Also- we are again asking all spectators to remain outside during lessons and to respect social distancing, should you wish to sit in your cars you can do. Instructors will be wearing masks and more increased hand hygiene and equipment clean downs will be happening.
Should you have any questions or queries do not hesitate to ask :)

Hey guys sorry for the late post!
As some of you may have been aware tonight was my last night at JBS after 7 years of teaching and 13 years in the sport I’m moving onto my next adventure! I start my paramedic science course in the next week and a half and I have shifts most of next week! I would like to say thank you to everyone who have made my last few days at JBS a pleasant one even with all these COVID rules going on!
I would like to say a massive thank you to Jo for giving me this opportunity 7 years ago to come and teach and what a great 7 years it has been.
Teaching you all especially those who were here from the start and watching you all develop has been great!
Now yes I’ve seen my fair share of people come and go but I’ve made some top class friends and have gotten to work with some truly incredible instructors and kickboxers!
There have been some classic memories that have made me laugh and will sure enough be in my mind forever!
So as I move onto my next adventure I want to wish you all well and good luck in you’re future and keep doing what you’re doing!
P.s. I will come and visit every now and then popping in to say hello!
But from the bottom of my heart! Thank you all for a wonderful 7 years at JBS💙
!We’re back open tonight!
😷under new COVID guidelines😷
Please check your individual time tables for lesson times and days!
All of the signs are in place for when reopening day comes!
I would just like to explain a few things!
As the head of first aid I have worked round the clock to make sure we at JBS get it right First Time!
So please follow and adhere to our signs and guidelines!
Have any of the following symptoms/
⭕️Shortness Of Breath
⭕️Persistant Cough
⭕️A fever or temperature greater than 37.8°c
⭕️Loss in taste and/ or smell
⛔️DO NOT ENTER THE BUILDING⛔️
We will ask you to leave if you don’t follow this!
Temperature checking will be in place and anyone with a temperature greater than 37.8°c will be asked to go home!
We may ask you for some of your details when you arrive! Don’t worry this is just so we can keep a detailed record of who is on the lessons in case of an outbreak!
Keep to you 2m social distancing and remember to sanitise your hands regularly at the sanitiser station which will be marked by signs as you enter the building!
No spectators! And JBS Reception is staff only!
However, reception is also a First Aid area (Green Area) which is clearly marked by the green signs!
Thank you for your co-operation!
Students don’t forget to bring your own drinks and sanitiser to lessons too!
We look forward to welcoming you back soon!
Please be aware of the COVID-19 official signs and symptoms!
Have them? Or start developing them? Self isolate for 14 days with the rest of your house hold!
The COVID-19 temperature limit is 37.8°c or greater!
Hope this helps with any confusion
Hi guys with temperatures being high this week and next please be bringing water with you atleast a litre to keep hydrated. This is important for your own hydration and health!
Hi guys don’t forget grading on Sunday
**Grading**
Tigers 10AM
Everyone else 11AM
Full uniform and belts any part of the uniform that isn’t JBS you will not be allowed on the matts. If you have never graded with us before and don’t have a belt please do not worry we are aware that you don’t have a belt and you will still be able to attend.
Please arrive 15 minutes before your allocated grading time to be ready for your grading time.
**Coronavirus**
We have also had some questions surrounding coronavirus.
We have spoken to Jo and there are NO immediate plans for us to be closed due to the virus. We also have no immediate concerns for the health and safety of students instructors or visitors.
We advise that you do bring or buy your own gloves to lesson as well as own sparring gear to limit any possibility of spread of infections.
Please also listen out in lessons as we will be addressing this. Any questions or concerns please let me know and I will try my best to deal with them.
Hi guys,
Please can we be wearing full uniform to lessons!
This includes:
JBS T-shirt/ Hoodie
JBS leggings
Bytomic/ top ten trousers that are in black.
Please ensure you are wearing you BELT too you earned it so please wear it.
Down to safeguarding, insurance and respect to the club students not in full uniform will be asked to leave the lesson! (Unless you are on a trial lesson). This is so that we all meet the clubs uniform policy.
Also disrespect towards instructors is not tolerated and we have a ZERO tolerance approach. Please be mindful that constantly back chatting an instructor or talking over them during the lesson will be challenged. The team of instructors are volunteers and give up their OWN time bearing in mind some of these guys have families, to be able to teach students, they are not here to be disrespected or abused. Again we have a ZERO tolerance to that and constant reports of disrespect will result in you being asked to leave the lesson and go home!
RESPECT towards each other too students must remember that they are part of a team we encourage students to actively participate together as a team to develop their team working skills. Disrespecting each other will get you no where and if it constantly continues can be seen as bullying again IS NOT tolerated by us and you will be asked to leave the lesson if needs be.
Also guys grading date hasn’t been decided as of yet but please keep a close ear out in lessons as we will be working towards setting a date soon!
Any questions or queries please do not hesitate to ask. Please be mindful that it’s best to speak to us at the club regarding an issue as messaging us could result in you not getting a response for a few days!
Thanks guys,
Team JBS.
