Wonderful to see the sessions going strong at Malvern College Summer School thanks to my co delivery partner UK STEM Ltd Virtual and face 2 face STEM 😀

What a fantastic day it was organising this event over in Telford as part of the funded STEM initiative at In-Comm Training & Business Services this particular event has been funded by The Marches Careers Hub looking forward to the funded work next academic year 😀

Oh🚀 What an incredible week it’s been working at Malvern College Summer School kicking off the STEM sessions! 🎓⚙️

This week we’ve explored Mechanical Engineering ⚙️, Mechatronics 🤖, Electronics 🔌, and Automotive Engineering 🏎️. Tomorrow, the students will enjoy a day of Aerospace Engineering ✈️ with Rob Bennett HonFIED , and those staying for the second week will be treated to an exciting programme with UK STEM LIMITED 🚀.

I’ve genuinely loved teaching these students. They rose to every challenge, demonstrating outstanding creativity 💡, resilience 💪, and problem-solving 🧩 skills throughout the week.

❤️ It has been incredibly rewarding getting to know everyone and watching their confidence grow as they tackled each activity. Saying goodbye today was genuinely emotional, but I’m so proud of everything they’ve achieved and can’t wait to hear about the rest of their Summer School adventures.

🚀 Today we hosted a fully funded Teacher Training Day at In-Comm Training & Business Services funded by Cedo https://www.cedo.com/sustainability

We worked with 10 Primary D&T leaders to explore how engineering can be embedded into the curriculum through practical, engaging learning.

🔧 From mechanical engineering and mechatronics to electrical engineering and programming, teachers explored how to make learning relatable through real-world roles and inspiring role models.

🛠️ We got hands-on with mechanisms, mechanical and pneumatic systems, electrical systems and control technology all connected to the Cedo philosophy which is Grow with purpose and the three pillars

Most importantly, we reflected on the skills children develop through the process—not just the final outcome:

🧩 Problem-solving
💪 Resilience
🔍 Enquiry
🧪 Experimental learning

Teachers now have practical examples to take back to their schools, helping to inspire pupils and empower colleagues. 🙌

Have to say my favourite creation was the biscuit 🍪 dunker 😀which moved away from the brief slightly 😅
