Just a reminder it is the graduation Monday morning we look forwards to celebrating with you all.

We have a few chairs and stools but we would suggest if you have a foldable chair to bring it along with you to guarantee a seat.

We had such a lovely time today, it was some of our pre schools last visit!
We made thank you cards and enjoyed a game of bowling 🎳.
This year has been brilliant, we have watched the children build bonds with the residents and really seen a huge leap in confidence and some of their communication and language!

We look forwards to returning in September with some new little ones!

We had a suprise visit this afternoon and were lucky enough to meet the zena the goose and some little ducklings that had been to visit High Ercall Primary school!
The children loved them 🦢🐤

Please can we remind parents that children need labelled sun cream and a sun hat at nursery for the warmer days.
They also need a labelled a water bottle.

We love getting outdoors as much as we can when the UV allows and get involved with lots of water play so please allow a spare change of clothes :)

Just a reminder that we have half term coming up. All term time only children will finish on friday 26th may and return Monday 4th June. If your child is on an all year round contract they will have already been booked in :)

We would love parents to share what your children have been upto over half term on Eylog , we can then look at these together upon their return.

Dont forget its our coronation party tomorrow, we will be dressing im red,white or blue!
We will also be having an afternoon tea party with lots of fun and games!

BEEP BEEP DAY! 🚦🛻

Wednesday 26th April is beep beep day!

This is to help raise awareness we will be doing a few simple activities designed to help younger children start learning the road safety basics and to raise awareness among parents and the local community about protecting young children on the roads.

🌈 🌈 We will be wearing our brightest, stripiest clothes on Wednesday we would love it if your children would join in and dress up with us too! 🌈🌈

Yesterday we had a lovely morning at Roden Hall , we saw the baby chicks and we had a hold of them. The children have not stopped talking about them since we have returned We then coloured in some eggs and chicks and kindly gave them to the residents. We were also luckily enough to play outdoors in the beautiful gardens.

We love our monthly trips to Roden Hall and as you can see some of the children and residents have already made some lovely relationship!

We have finally set a date for our preschool leavers graduation!

This will be held on Monday 10th July at 10.30am -11.30am.
We are hoping to do this in our garden again (weather permitting) and then some light refreshments for afterwards.
Please let us know how many people will be attending nearer the time so we can arrange seating etc.

Head lice and nits

We have had a case of headlice within the nursery today! We would be very grateful if you can check your child/childrens hair and treat accordingly.

We have given out lots of spare trousers/leggings/jeans over the last few weeks and unfortunately these haven't been returned. We are in desperate need of these back please and if anyone has any trousers/pants they would like to donate then we would be very grateful. As you can imagine with potty training we do geth through quite a few.

Due to the weather conditions and staff/children unable to get to the nursery safely today we have taken the decision to close.
We apologise for any inconvenience or disruption this may cause.

After closely monitoring the weather conditions and forecast, the decision has been made that we will be closing the nursery at 3pm, if you can collect any earlier than that it would be much appreciated this is due to the adverse weather conditions to ensure that our parents can safely arrive and leave before the freezing conditions. We can only apologise for the disruption this may cause but we MUST ensure the safety of our users and our staff.

You may remember that we entered the children into the young writers competition a while ago?

Well..... we have some winners!!! 🏆🏅

We just need your permission now for it to be published. If your child comes home with a letter either today or monday then please can we have it filled out and returned back ASAP so we can return them.

✨️ Well done pre school you all worked so hard and we are very proud of each and everyone of you! ✨️

We had a lovely time at the care home. The children really enjoyed themselves and cannot wait to visit again next month.

Exciting news....

We will be visiting Roden Hall care home on Tuesday 28th February at 10am. We will visit the residents and do some Arts and crafts alongside them..

We have arranged for these visits to be on a more regular basis to keep our community links strong.

Therefore the first Tuesday of each month will be the day preschool children will visit.

We look forwards to having more fun with the residents, we always have such a lovely time there.

🍇 GRAPES! 🍇

❗️It’s a well known fact that whole grapes are a dangerous choking hazard for babies, toddlers and young children!

❗️The size and shape of grapes means that they can completely plug a child's airway. The tight seal produced by the grape's smooth surface makes them difficult to dislodge with standard first aid techniques.

❗️Young children are particularly vulnerable to choking on a grape because:
• They don't have a full set of teeth and are still learning to chew properly.
• Their swallow reflex is still developing.
• Their airway is very small.

✅This handy image shows just how to slice them so that they are safe to eat - slice in half lengthways and ideally into quarters. NEVER in half widthways!

❗️Same goes for sausages, olives, cherry tomatoes and large blueberries. It’s always better to be safe than sorry!

We have had the chance to enter the My First Poem 2023 competition and we are very excited!

We would like to give our pre-school children a chance to shine by helping us to write their very own first poem this supports the EYFS requirements and really helps them to enhance their imagination, literacy skills and expressive ideas!

We have made a start creating these today and they are already looking great!
