Great morning Teddy bears had exploring the ice. This week our story is stick man, children tried to find some snow for him but instead found lots of ice that we enjoyed playing with inside and learning about how ice is made and what happens to it.

We were very proud of the children today who participated In the silence for remberenace day. They enjoyed looking at the poppy made with rice while learning about why we had it in our tuff tray, then within 30 seconds enjoyed mixing it up to scoop and measure, we also made poppies using paper plates.

Today we made a friend a slug. When we came inside we enjoyed the story Norman the slug with the silly shell and drew pictures of him. It was a great opportunity to learn about animals in the environment and similarities and differences slugs have and we have 😊

Music Minors

Every Monday afternoon we have the lovely Rachel who comes to the preschool to provide the children with a music and dance class. Children have really enjoyed this and gained in lots of confidence.
Don’t worry if your child does not attend a Monday afternoon as each term we change the days so every child gets a chance to experience it.

Music Minors Music Minor classes aim to get children interested in music not just by listening or hearing it, but by actively being involved in performing music. The classes aim to link to EYFS guide lines and support the children on their learning journey!!!! ��

Changes in the seasons are important for children learn to about differences and the world around them. Getting out in the nature also builds up childrens immune system to help fight viruses.
National trust has some free visits at the moment. Emma visited attingham park this weekend and picked lots of conkers for children to explore

My husband is in a wheelchair and so many children stare and want to engage with him. Many parents often tell their child not to stare. I think we probably learnt it from our parents. My husband has always encouraged children to come and say hello. Children are just curious, and the more they look, and then engage, the more they will understand. Same goes for children to children. We are mostly all the same, and the more we identify that, the more happier we are, and also our communities will be.

All the children are having a fun filled day! They have enjoyed a visit from the Queen to present them with medals of honour, lots of dancing and party games and food.

We wish you all a lovely half term break and see you back week beginning Monday 6th June 😊

It’s definitely a Royal adventure at the preschool this week. In both rooms children are enjoying role plays in the castle, designing and making their own palaces, role play Royal dog parties, creative flag making and improving hand movements by sorting red and blue bears with tweezers. They even had the Queen visit to read a story 😀

The children are getting excited for next week Jubilee celebrations
We have purchased some lovely medals🏅 to mark the celebration. Fancy dress will be on Friday but we be having exciting activities all week for the children 👑👸💂‍♀️💂

Busy Feet 'It's Warm Up Time'

This term we have been learning about our bodies, exercise, well being and healthy foods.
