We enjoyed exploring and experimenting with magnets this afternoon in Pre-School. 😃🔩🧲

We are exploring the possibility of booking a photograph for an informal children's Christmas photo shoot. This would be open to anyone registered with our Pre-School or Out of school club and would take place in early December. If you would be interested please contact Claire by Monday 21st November. Unfortunately without enough interest we will be unable to book the photographer. 🎅📸🎄

Christmas holiday club booking forms now available.

This week in Pre-School we have been talking to the children about poppies and why people are wearing them.
The children enjoyed a range of activities including exploring a giant poppy made out of red rice and pasta. They then added scoops and pots so they could scoop and pour the rice and pasta, it was lots of fun!

We have had a selection of books kindly donated to us. Pre-School have had a lovely time today looking in the box and sharing the new stories. Thank you to Sarah from The Red Lion Wellington, we love them!

This week in Pre-School we had lots of fun exploring the inside of a pumpkin! We used tools to cut and scoop but had more fun using our hands! We used lots of words like "squashy" and "slimy" to describe how it felt and looked.
Thank you to those of you that have already returned your Autumn treasure bags. We enjoyed investigating the items and used magnifying glasses to look closely at them.
We look forward to seeing what else you find and bring in to show us!

In Pre-School we have been talking with the children about Autumn and the changes that we can see outside.
This week your child will be bringing home an "Autumn treasures collection bag". We would love it if you and your child could use this bag to collect Autumn treasures on a walk or from your own garden and bring these in to share and explore with their friends.🍂🍁

A big thank you to Dothill Pre-School and Childcare for inviting me along to photograph their pre-school class of 2022 graduation! The children were brilliant and looked fantastic in their shiny green gowns and mortarboard hats. I wish the children lots of luck for their move up to 'big school'.

Here are some of the things we have been getting up to in before and after school club recently!

This morning Pre-School made chocolate Easter nest cakes. We all enjoyed stirring the mixture and trying not to eat it as we spooned it into our cake case!

This week the some of the Pre-School children made mini people models using a range of resources. We think they look fab!

On Monday, some of the Pre-School children wanted to explore our muddy kitchen corner. So we put on our waterproofs and wellies and had lots of messy fun!

On Friday 18th March Pre-School will be having a party day and wearing red to raise money for Comic Relief.🔴

In Pre-School we are choosing 2 children each day to be our 'lunchtime monitors'.
They help to lay the tables for lunch and choose and chop up the salad for the sharing trays. 😀
