๐ Spooktacular Halloween Fun for our Little Learners at home! ๐ป
Halloween is the perfect time to get creative, messy, and imaginative. Here are some simple, spooky-but-fun ideas to try at home with your little ones!
๐ท๏ธ Sticky Spider Web โ Stretch tape or wool across a doorway and stick on toy bugs or pom-poms. Let your child rescue them!
๐งโโ๏ธ Magic Potions โ Mix water, food colouring, and glitter. Stir and imagine what your potion can do!
๐ Pumpkin Playdough โ Make orange playdough and add googly eyes or pipe cleaners for silly pumpkin faces.
๐ป Dress-Up Fun โ Use old clothes to become witches, ghosts, or friendly monsters. Hold a โMonster Paradeโ around the living room!
๐ธ๏ธ Spooky Story Time โ Cuddle up with a torch and read Room on the Broom or Meg and Mog. Use funny voices!
๐ฏ๏ธ Glow Stick Hide & Seek โ Hide glow sticks around a dim room and let your child find them. Adds a magical, spooky twist to a classic game!
๐ท๏ธ Spider Toss โ Use a small basket and soft โspiderโ balls (black pom-poms). Practice throwing or aiming to build coordination.
๐จ Monster Footprints โ Dip little feet in paint and make monster tracks across paper. Add googly eyes or paint features to make each monster unique!
๐ฌ Sorting Treats โ Use sweets or coloured objects for sorting by colour, shape, or size. Sneaky learning disguised as fun!
๐ฆ Bat Bowling โ Decorate empty bottles as bats or pumpkins and knock them down with a soft ball. Gross and fine motor skills all in one!
๐ Monster Masks โ Cut out simple paper masks and let children decorate with crayons, stickers, or scraps of fabric. Perfect for imaginative play!
๐ธ๏ธ Sensory Witchโs Cauldron โ Fill a bowl with cooked spaghetti, water beads, or shredded paper โeyeballsโ for messy, tactile fun.
๐ถ Monster Freeze Dance โ Play Halloween music and have kids dance as monsters. Freeze when the music stops!
๐ท๏ธ Creepy Crawly Counting โ Use toy insects or spiders to practice counting, addition, or sorting.
๐งก These activities build confidence, creativity, language, and fine motor skills โ all part of the EYFS areas of learning.
Most importantly, they help children learn through play while having a frightfully good time!
๐ฌ Share a photo or comment below โ weโd love to see your creations! ๐งโโ๏ธโจ

Good Morning to you all, I am sure the children will be very excited waking up to the snow this morning.
We just wanted to make you all aware that we have a problem with our heating, we do have some heat but our rooms are only getting up to a comfort level, so the building is a little chilly, with this in mind could you please put an extra layer of clothes on your children today and maybe an extra set of clothes in their bags just in case they play outside and get them wet in the snow.
We have taken advice from PHE and are in the process of getting the problem fixed. We will keep you up to date when this will as unfortunately we will probably have to close that day to have the work carried out safely.
Aqueduct After Hours is open as normal
Thanks for your understanding and support.

We've been busy this morning building our Gingerbread House and wrapping presents to go under the tree. The children have really enjoyed themselves, especially when they could eat some of the Gingerbread House for snack, yum yum, delicious. ๐๐

Hi, I hope you are all enjoying the summer holidays and managing to stay cool in this heat.
As many of you are aware we had our Ofsted Inspection back in July. We are now able to announce that our report is back and Ofsted have officially rated us as a GOOD provider. We can't begin to explain how pleased and proud we are as a setting and a team. We will endeavour to continue to provide all our children with the best start in their educational journeys and continue to improve and move forward with our provisions and build on our own knowledge to ensure we continue to offer the best for them all.
We would like to thank all our staff who have given their all through some turbulent times which has paid off with our absolute shinning result.
If you would like to read the report please feel free to log in to the local Ofsted website where it is available to be viewed.
We thank you all once again for your continued support.

Hi, we hope you have all had a lovely half term break and enjoyed your Halloween Tricks and Treats. We are looking forward to seeing you all again tomorrow. However, we do need to notify you that we have had an outbreak of Hand, Foot and Mouth. According to PHE guidelines children diagnosed with Hand, Foot and Mouth can still attend Pre-School, Clubs and School etc. but they recommend that pregnant women need to be vigilant and remain cautious if they come into contact with the infection. If you have any questions then please feel free to message, phone or speak to staff tomorrow, we will be happy to help and advise anyway we can.
See you all tomorrow for the start of another fun filled half term.
Max, Sharon and Kim
