Very proud mom moment.
Only 47 minutes last week but neither of us are completely well yet.
Another from Halloween, Charlie actually loved reading about how nasty some people from history actually were.
Oops, I forgot to put Charlie's Halloween reading and sticker book pictures onπ€¦πΌββοΈ
A bird box made this morning with his grandad.
Feeling a little better this week so Charlie is back in the kitchen. Today's sample is a shirred egg and ham starter to serve 4 but we had it for brunch as we had skipped breakfast.

So we came across this that's billed as a comedy and what a gem it is. Charlie loves it and within just a few episodes we've covered racism, refugees, illegal immigration, stereotypes, religion, cultures, snobbery, relationships, the class system in a modern England, hypocrisy, the perceived values and political agendas of newspapers and probably much more than I've forgotten since this morning.
We've been ill all week so concentration has been in short supply. Charlie has made all of these though. It teaches patience, following instructions, encourages learning alone and fixing your own mistakes.
Still doing well!
Shopping day today at the community shop, followed by making grandad a cup of tea, Duolingo whilst heading out in the car and speak and spell on the return.
Then home to try and get the toilet seat off.
Charlie has had a go at air fried bread pudding ( I didn't tell him I don't like bread pudding) we will take it to share with grandad tomorrow.
Just reached the diamond tournament. Let's hope he can cling on to the top 10.
Congratulations Charlie!
Charlie has started the day with a discussion about UK law and government policies, specifically those about fireworks. He thinks the law isn't fit for purpose and a safe distance to animals should be added, also that it shouldn't just include livestock and horses.
Learning about worldwide communication via morse code and CB radio amongst others with the scouts.
Still going strong.
Out for Williams birthday. Charlie is so good with small children. And even did some maths in the cafe.
Going through granny's and great granny's cookbooks to look for a starter to make for his scouts badge.
It's not easy because Charlie doesn't want fish or soup, doesn't like pΓ’tΓ© and melon balls don't take any cooking. He also wants to use the air fryer so π€¦πΌββοΈ
So far it's quiche or souffle.
Charlie now feels sorry for sardines after watching a feeding frenzy where they were eaten by dolphins, gulls, sharks and even a couple of whales turned up.
We learned albatross's are massive which led to a conversation about whether you could eat them ( you can, along with most other sea birds).
And killer whales are just plain nasty π
When someone borrows your phone ππ
Ironing ready for scouts.
Less time spent, yet Charlie still managed to get to the next league. He is now in the obsidian league π€·πΌββοΈ
I think we will have to try this. Charlie loves lemon curd.
Charlie found a recipe for cooking rice pudding in the air fryer. It didn't really work so we emptied it into the slow cooker and finished cooking it that way. He topped it with freeze dried raspberries and tutti frutti jam.
Finished history Villains & Outlaws this morning, began Usborne Space book, Duolingo and 2Β½ hours running around at flip out Telford.
Out with friends for 1Β½hrs then a short break before going to his last cub scouts session.
And he's done! πππ»ππ»
Villains and outlaws through history this morning, followed by an hour rollerblading, running up and down stairs 10 times and watching celebrity sas which lead to a conversation about fitness, mental health, what causes Gareth Gates to stutter and stammer
I timed him, it took Charlie 20 seconds to work it out although at least 2 were laughing once the penny had dropped π
So far so good.
Productive day today, Duolingo, equations, shopping at the community supermarket ( includes mathematics), Charlie walked to ice-skating and took himself off to look for a geocache.
Trying ostrich for tea π€·πΌββοΈ
And finished....
