This morning, RAC have been experimenting with colour mixing, using red and white, they have created different shades of pink to paint a picture of the Three Little Pigs. This was after receiving a letter from Mummy Pig, who was missing her children after they moved away! This has supported our phonics focus on the letter ‘p’ too. What fantastic work Reception!

Well done to our Y3&4 boys football team! Fantastic battling performance, but unfortunately going down narrowly to a 4-3 defeat against Redhill in the County Cup! The team showed great resilience and attitude throughout! We definitely missed Mr J on the sideline today!
As part of this term’s art lessons, 6AD have been looking at how to mix colours to match the those used by the artists we are studying.

In Year 3, as part of our Art and Design project 'Colour Theory' children have enjoyed exploring how colour can have an emotional effect on the human brain, and have been mixing primary and secondary colours to create various colour effects.
The joy of picking an apple each from our school allotment. The boys also left one on Mr Thorpe's desk to enjoy 🍎🍏
3SMc/AP began their Geography topic ‘One Planet, Our World’ this week. The children enjoyed using their atlases to locate various countries around the world and then using this knowledge to colour code their own map and fill in our class world map!
Reception- can children please wear their uniform on Monday for photographs.
There is no need to bring in their PE kit.
Tag Rugby will be starting next week - letters will go out on parent pay nearer the time.
First game of the season, and probably the best game of the season already!
We talk about the ‘Grange Park Way’ a lot in PE and talk about never giving up and showing determination, and this was in full show tonight in our Year 5/6 County Cup fixture.
It was a wet fixture to say the least, and the boys got off to a slow start going 2-0 down to an excellent HLC team within 5 minutes. The boys then showed their resilience and were 2-3 up by 15 minutes. Then a crazy 5 minutes before half time, we found ourselves 5-3 down.
We talked at half time about not giving up and keep doing what we were doing well, but also spoke about how we played when we didn’t have the ball. Where many players/teams would have been downhearted and given up, our boys were fired up and came out for the 2nd half like a team on a mission.
The boys the won the 2nd half 4-0 and were eventual winners 7-5. The passing and finishing was an absolute joy to watch.
If a game sums up Grange Park, this was the one.
Special mention to Carter and Alfie for stepping up to play half a game in goal each. They were both amazing 🙌
Well done to Zac as well for making his GP team debut.
Thank you to Mr Thorpe for getting the action shots from below a tree 😂
