Discover our Telford Centre!

Did you know our Telford Centre has been designed to provide a welcoming, inclusive environment where young people can learn, grow and build confidence?

Located at The Willow Business Centre, Halesfield 22, Telford, our centre offers a range of modern facilities to support both academic achievement and personal development, including:

📚 Fully equipped English and Mathematics classrooms
💻 Dedicated IT suite
🎵 Music room
📖 Library and meeting room
🎲 Student social area with table tennis and other activities

Alongside our flagship English and Maths lessons, we deliver a variety of workshops throughout the year, helping young people develop valuable life skills, prepare for the world of work, and discover new interests. There’s something for everyone at this centre!

We believe every young person deserves the opportunity to succeed in an environment where they feel safe, supported and understood. Whether we’re helping students build confidence, work towards qualifications, or prepare for their future, our goal remains the same: providing opportunities that make a real difference.

Meet our founder!

Louise Martindale

Our Managing Director is NASENCO qualified and is an advocate for many parents who are struggling against a complex SEN system. Our passion for providing a fully inclusive education is as fervent as our belief in the power of education. A good education provides opportunities, choices and ultimately, success. This is what every parent strives for, for their child.

Sadly, the opportunities to achieve have been limited by political chaos, lacklustre educational policies and a torturous cost of living crisis. There are more young people (of school age) out of education than ever before. Schools are struggling to maintain staff and behaviour in many schools is impacting on those who want to learn. This is also exacerbating the struggling education system in the United Kingdom.

New school year, new opportunities!

As students are settling in to the new academic year, it's the perfect time for our kids to create better habits and even more positive routines! Ensuring they can start this year with real confidence.

These habits created during the first few weeks of term are incredibly important for year long success. Whether it's asking for help with homework, or simply staying organised.

We at Bright Stars are here to help! We want to help create these positive routines and help the understanding that it's ok to ask for help if they need it. Through our personalised tuition tailored to their individual needs, we can help your child build the confidence and routine they need to be as successful as they have to be to get through the school year!

Every student deserves the opportunity to succeed, and we're proud to support learners throughout the academic year.

🌟 Our Bright Stars Journey 🌟

Established in 2017, Bright Stars began by providing GCSE English tuition and has since grown into an inclusive alternative education provision.

We now support young people through our purpose-built Telford centre and our new Stone centre, offering core subjects, life skills and practical cookery lessons.

Although we have grown, our purpose remains the same: helping every young person build confidence, achieve their goals and thrive.

Our fantastic team have been busy getting our brand-new Stone Centre ready and just look at our lovely new classroom!

The room features soft, dim lighting to create a calm and welcoming environment, particularly for learners with sensory sensitivities who may find bright lighting overwhelming.

More exciting updates are coming soon, so keep your eyes peeled!

Bright Stars is growing… and we’re coming to STONE!!

We’re incredibly excited to announce the opening of our brand-new education centre in Stone!

Our new centre will provide a welcoming, supportive environment where young people can learn, develop practical skills, build confidence and thrive outside of a traditional classroom setting.

We’ll also have a particular focus on cooking and practical life skills, giving learners the opportunity to develop valuable skills they can take with them into everyday life and their future.

We can’t wait to show you more of our new centre and introduce you to everything we have planned!

🎓 Education News This Week

Calls are growing for coursework to play a bigger role in GCSE assessment, with some education leaders arguing that a balance of exams, coursework and practical assessments would give a more complete picture of a student's abilities.

Supporters believe this approach could recognise a wider range of skills and reduce the pressure of relying almost entirely on final exams. Others argue that traditional exams remain the fairest and most consistent way to assess every student. Recent proposals have also suggested using controlled coursework completed in school to help maintain academic integrity.
