Join us on Saturday 31st October at Thurlestone for a Halloween dive and a chance to get a glimpse of the Louis Sheid wreck! 💀🌊

Wrecked back in 1939 during the Second World War, the Louis Sheid now rests in relatively shallow water, making it a great wreck to explore for Open Water divers. With its boilers, wreckage and plenty of marine life, it's got everything you need for a cracking dive… and maybe the odd spooky surprise! 👀

So, who fancies a little underwater trick or treat? Costumes are optional... 😉🧟‍♂️

🤿 Fancy getting INSIDE a Hyberbaric chamber? No, not just looking at one! 👀

Join us on Friday 20th November for our trip to DDRC Healthcare in Plymouth for a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the world of diving medicine! 🩺🌊

If you fancy the full experience, you can take part in a chamber dive, followed by a talk and tour of DDRC for just £40.
If you don't fancy the chamber dive, you can still join us for the talk and tour for £10!

Chamber divers need to meet at DDRC at 12:20pm for a 12:30pm dive, while those joining us for just the talk and tour can meet us at 1pm.

A couple of important bits for the chamber:
• Must have a valid diving medical or self-declaration UKDMC Recreational Diver Medical Declaration Form
• No diving or flying within 18 hours prior to the chamber dive
• No diving or flying within 24 hours following the chamber dive

🤿 LAST CHANCE FOR OUR INTENSIVE OPEN WATER COURSE THIS YEAR!🌊

Fancy learning to scuba dive over the school half-term holiday? Then this one's for you! 🙌

Our last intensive PADI Open Water course of the year starts next Sunday, 25th October for 5 days! 🎉 So, if you've been thinking about learning to dive, now's the time to stop thinking about it and actually take the plunge!

An intensive course is a brilliant way to get your training done over a shorter period, making the most of your half-term break and getting you one step closer to exploring the underwater world. 🐠🐙

Don't worry if you can't make this one, though! Our part-time courses will still be running throughout the winter, so there are plenty of opportunities to learn at a more leisurely pace.

BUT… if you're hoping to use the school half-term holiday to get qualified, this is your last intensive course until next year! 👀

If it’s been a few years since you last logged a dive, ReActivate is a brilliant way to refresh your skills, brush up on your dive knowledge and get comfortable in the water again. Our PADI IDC Intensive 10-Day Course starts 8th November and this could be your chance to take the next big step in your diving career! 🌊

Becoming a PADI Instructor is a pretty huge achievement. You’ll be taking everything you’ve learned as a diver and professional and stepping up to help others discover the underwater world for themselves.

An instructor qualification can open up a whole world of opportunities, from working at dive centres and resorts to travelling the world, teaching new divers, developing your own skills and becoming part of an amazing global diving community.

It’s challenging, it’s rewarding and there will definitely be moments when you question why you thought this was a good idea… but crossing that finish line as a PADI Instructor is something you’ll be seriously proud of. 💪🤿

🍂 Winter hours are here at Teign Diving Centre! 🤿

As the days get shorter and the water starts feeling a little more… refreshing 🥶, we’re moving to our winter opening hours.

We’ll be open Monday to Saturday, 9am–5pm and Sundays, 9am–4pm.

Don’t worry though, the diving doesn’t stop! 🤿 Our trips and dives are still going ahead as normal, but with the evenings getting darker earlier, our evening dives are now for night divers only. 🌙🔦

So whether you’re after some winter diving, need a bit of kit or fancy booking a trip, you know where we are!🌊

If you’ve ever found yourself looking at a dive site and thinking, “I wish I could go down there…” then our PADI Deep Diver Speciality could be just the ticket!

Starting Monday 5th October, this course is all about building your confidence and skills for deeper recreational diving, taking you beyond the usual limits and opening up a whole new world of dive sites and experiences. 🌊

You’ll learn how to plan and manage deeper dives, get hands-on with some useful techniques and equipment, and understand how your body responds as you head further down. Most importantly, you’ll come away with more experience and confidence when it comes to diving deeper — rather than just crossing your fingers and hoping everything goes according to plan! 😉

Whether you’ve got your eye on deeper wrecks, want to explore new sites, or simply fancy pushing your diving a little further, the Deep Diver course is a great way to do it properly and safely.

Could you handle an emergency if you needed to?🚨

Hopefully you’ll never need to, but if you do, knowing what to do could make a massive difference. That’s why our Emergency First Responder (EFR) and Emergency Oxygen Provider courses are so important. ❤️

Whether you’re a diver, a non-diver, a parent, a sports enthusiast, work in an environment where first aid skills could be useful, or simply want to be better prepared, these courses give you the skills and confidence to respond when things don’t quite go according to plan.

You can take either course on its own, or bundle them together and get a really useful combination of first aid, CPR and emergency oxygen skills. 💪

Our next Emergency First Responder & Emergency Oxygen Provider courses are on Tuesday 29th September.
