NURSERY SPACE AVAILABLE
At Teignmouth Primary School, we are delighted to offer nursery places with government-funded childcare to help make high-quality early education more accessible and affordable for families.
Early Years Funding is government financial support that helps eligible families reduce the cost of childcare for children aged from 9 months until they start school. The funding gives more children the opportunity to benefit from high-quality early education while providing parents and carers with greater flexibility to work, study, or undertake training.
The scheme has two key aims:
β’ Supporting children by providing access to high-quality early education that helps them develop, learn, and build the skills they need for a successful start at school and beyond.
β’ Supporting families by easing the cost of childcare and helping parents balance work, study, or training with family life.
There are three types of Early Years Funding available:
β’ Targeted 2-Year-Old Funding β for eligible families who meet specific criteria.
β’ Universal Entitlement β available to all children from the term after they turn three.
β’ Working Families Entitlement β additional funded childcare for eligible working families with children aged from 9 months.
In addition to funded places, we also offer paid nursery sessions, providing greater flexibility for families who require additional childcare beyond their funded entitlement or who are not eligible for funded hours.
We offer term-time nursery provision and accept all three types of Early Years Funding. Our experienced and caring staff provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every child can learn, play, and thrive.
If you would like to find out more about our nursery, check your eligibility for funded childcare, or arrange a visit, please contact the school. We would be delighted to help you.
