I swear these two think the playroom is for them. Reading corner all set up and who takes occupancy, Millie and Maddie. π
No chance of the children going in here today. ππ
Devon are looking for feedback for those Children that attended HAF schemes during the summer holiday.
If you have a spare few minutes to complete this, it would really help, and hopefully secure the HAF scheme for future years.

Looks like the dog has made herself comfortable in the arts and crafts box. Sorry kids but looks like sticking and gluing is out for the next hour or so. πππ€
Had fun again this morning decorating eggs. Unfortunately one was broken so rather than waste it, we turned it into a Hedgehog.

Really sorry for those that have tried to access our website recently. It was brought to my attention just before Christmas that our website had vanished and upon investigation, I found that the company had closed without telling us. A new website is now up and running. X x
Visit from Santa, on our last but one day for this year.
Paul and I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Before and after photo. Children love their new play area. X x
Finally a light at the end of what feels like a very long tunnel.
Paul and I have been working flat out to redevelop the playroom and turn it into a multi purpose area for the children.
When the children have gone home for the day, Paul and I set to work decorating and installing new units. With just a little more painting nr the radiator, a freezer to install and the kickboards to be fitted to the front of the kitchen units, the playroom will finally be finished.
We were selected to be part of the HAF Funding scheme where we provide enrichment activities for vulnerable children free of charge during the summer holidays. Redeveloping the play area has now given us that little extra space to have a kitchen area for the children to have a go at preparing and cooking their own meals.

Playroom is coming along nicely. The right hand side is nearly completed just the trims to be fitted under the units. The left hand side needs lining paper above the radiator then painted and need to finish the grey sparkly cladding.
Hopefully all will be finished by the end of next week just in time for school holidays. X.
Old units all down now, walls are ready for painting and cladding and the room divider has arrived and been built.
Thursday the rest of the units will arrive and hopefully over the weekend, the playroom will have completed its transformation just in time for the school holidays. X x
This is my next project.
Once I have finished the right side of the playroom , I will start on the left. All these units will be removed to make more floor space for the children to play. X x
Everything is finally coming together. Flood gates now in, so no repeat of last year and units delivered for the playroom.
Spent all of last night levelling the two larder cupboards, fixing them to the wall and filling them up with crafts etc.
The rest won't be going in until after the 8th July as I made a few last minute changes so waiting on a few more units. At least I have made space in my lounge for me to sit on the sofa.
Our indoor area is getting a much needed face-lift to make room for a small kitchen area. Units have all been removed ready for Kitchen units which are arriving on Thursday. X x

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT -
Paul and I would like to confirm that following Boris Johnsons announcement this evening, we will be open for business as usual.
We have worked relentlessly over the past year to ensure our setting is as safe as we could possibly make it for the children, whilst still allowing them to have fun. Our toys and resources are cleaning after each use and the room is 'fogged' every night, ready for the next day.
We would like to thank all our parents for abiding by the social distancing rules when dropping off and collecting their children.
Take care everybody and keep safe. X x x

21st ANNIVERSARY
Cant believe that I've actually made another milestone. On 15th November 1999 I received a visit from social services and was given the go ahead to start child-minding and here we are 21 years later still going strong.
Its not how I envisaged celebrating 21 years of child-minding, but hopefully when all this is over we can celebrate in style.
I would like to thank all the wonderful families that have supported us over the past 21 years and cant wait to share a drink with you.
Cheers π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯πΎπΎπΎπΎπΎπ»π»π»
